Dear Little,

I’ve had to hide myself from you for a week and a half, and each day it got harder from me to keep it a secret! From the point I met you I knew that you would be a great addition to my Greek family. Over the past year my big and I have shared so many memories together and I only hope that we can do the same. We have talked about the day that I would finally get a little and my big would finally be a G-big. From here on out we are a family, and nothing will change that!

There is nothing more I wanted in a little than what I have found in you. I looked for someone I could be myself around. Someone who would take goofy pictures with me. Someone who would dance and sing around to "High School Musical," "Cheetah Girls" and basically any of the classic Disney jams. I basically teared up when you told me you think of the Cheetah Girls when I come to your mind. I cannot wait to spend nights up all night talking about boys and watching "Friends." Knowing you for only a few weeks I have already learned so much about you, and to be honest I’m not entirely sure how I lived without you as my friend. I know you’ll be the best little out there for me and I cannot wait to create memories together and share them with the world!

As your big sister and most importantly your mentor in the sorority, I have a few promises for you. I promise to always support you in anything you do. You want to be on the Executive Board? I will campaign for you. You want to ditch the formal for a sleepover because boys suck? I will ditch with you. I promise to be your advisor: I will help you choose classes, I will be honest when you choose an outfit, and chase away any boy that I know is trouble. I promise to abide by the “anything and everything” rule; you can tell me anything and everything, and as your big I will come up with the best advice I can give you. I hope I will be able to come to you for advice too. I promise to share the secrets that are already embedded in our Greek family with you, and we can add to the list as time goes on. As your big, you will always have me as your number-one supporter. I am here for you every step of the way in your journey through sorority life.

In conclusion I would like to give a little praise to myself, a round of applause or a pat on the back for picking the best little out there for me. You have joined a great sisterhood and I am proud to be a part of your journey. Throughout this adventure there will be many family dinners, lots of laughs over middle school days, and lots of random puppy pictures. So little, just know that you are loved by your grand-big and me. We will be your supporters through everything.
