I won't mention you by name, but you'll know who you are.
I am beyond honored to be considered your friend. You are all the kindest, most thoughtful individuals I've ever met. You're all intelligent beyond words, and incredibly talented. You're all unique and spunky, and I always enjoy myself when I'm with you.
Our Chick-Fil-A runs, Cards Against Humanity matches, and "Avatar: The Last Airbender" marathons were the highlight of my summer. Our life chats and spontaneous visits kept my summer on its toes.
You were all there for me during my scariest panic attack after that choir concert this past March. You held me as I cried and screamed. You rushed to my side with your mother, my pediatrician. You rubbed my hands to help them regain feeling. You rubbed my back as I was shaking uncontrollably. You brought me water to help calm me down. You sat there with me the whole time so I wouldn't be alone.
You're there for me at 1 in the morning, even though you should be sleeping. You notice the smallest changes in my appearance. You wipe my tears away, even when there's seemingly no end to them. You visit my family on Halloween -- and they greet you with open arms and take cute pictures will you in your costumes. (Sorry there was no candy, but remember that time you stole all the Smarties that were supposed to be handed out at my graduation party? You got your candy months ago.)
Our lady dates to Pressed give me life. Being able to sit down and talk about anything over coffee always helps me organize my thoughts. There are no boundaries when it comes to our conversations -- the juicier, the better. You're like a sister to me, and I love living three minutes away from you.
Remember when I took you to prom? We had the absolute best time. Who needs boys when you can bring your lil' sprout? I brought our photo booth pictures with me to college, and I'll bring them with me from apartment to apartment, from house to house, from prom to the grave.
I'm glad I started bumming rides off of you, but I'm even happier that you live five minutes away from me so I can arrive at your house unannounced. Your outlook on life and high energy keep me going even when I want to curl up in bed. You became the brother I always wanted.
Our summer night drives and movie nights always gave me something to look forward to after a long day of work. You always validate my feelings, and never let me feel alone. You encourage me to experience new things and step out of my comfort zone, but you also take into consideration how much of a scaredy cat I am.
I don't know what I did to deserve all your kindness, hugs, and guidance, but I am eternally grateful for it all. You were all my hardest goodbyes when leaving for college. I can't wait to share stories and catch up with you when we return home. I can't wait to say "hello" to you again.
Until then, thank you. Thank you for everything. I'm not sure I deserve all this love, but you keep on giving it to me anyways. For that, I'm eternally grateful.
