To my friends at home:

Thank you for forever being a reminder of where I've come from and who I am. There have been times when I have strayed from the young girl I once was and the friend you've had for years, but you never once threw that in my face. You let me go down my own path and knew that eventually, I would find the right one. I know there have been tough times in our relationships and times where we have drifted apart, but sometimes that happens when you grow up together. Thank you for never throwing in my face how you have called, texted or Face-timed me and I forgot to reply or answer because I was busy with my life at college. I know it is hard remaining friends with someone who no longer lives so close to you and trying to figure out something to talk about, but you guys have never failed to keep me laughing and up to date on your lives. I'm so glad God blessed me with such understanding friends at home. Friends who understand that you do not have to talk every day to be close to my heart and forever on my mind.

To my friends at college:

Thank you guys for helping me realize home is not the only place I belong. I have had my days where I miss it very much, but missing you guys over the holiday breaks is even worse. Thank you for all the late nights of talking till 3 a.m., movie nights, "family dinners" and just sitting around laughing. Thank you guys for believing in the person I'm trying to become and for not once doubting that I was smart enough to make it through biology. College can be hard at times, but having you guys with me makes it a lot easier. You guys never let me forget that I am not in this alone, that we have each other’s back. Though I will be graduating college and leaving the place where our friendship started, this does not mean that I'm leaving you. You all have become such important people in my life and I'll never forget you guys.
