I know everyone gets really into New Year's and goes to parties, resolves relationships/friendships, makes some crazy resolutions and tries to stick with them, but I'm so over that. This year, instead of making up something stupid that I probably will forget about after the first week, I decided I'm going to focus on my wishes for my friends in the upcoming year. Ya know, just trying to spread a little positivity to close out 2016 right.

1. Babe

Obviously I wish you happiness and health. I wish that we get to have many more adventures in 2017 and that it's filled with wonderful achievements, and lots of beach days! I wish that we continue to grow together and maybe finally get to take that trip to Canada? 3 Years's the charm!

2. Lacey

I wish that you get all the LulaRoe leggings (I mean if you haven't already! lol). I wish that we make the rest of our junior year and the beginning of our senior year the best ever, and that you get all A's this semester. I wish that you kick ass in softball and make the Florida trip one to remember. I wish that we get so many jam sessions in the books, and that you finally get to meet SoMo with me in the fall (YAAAAAS). I mean if we don't get to see SoMo our senior year, it would break tradition and we are better than that. I wish we get the suite we want and we can drink wine on Wednesday's like classy bitches. I wish that you continue to be my go-to person for anything, and my best friend. I wish you find 2017 to be full of happiness and lots of fun, with some laughable moments in between. WOO-HOO PRAC!!

3. Rachael

I wish that you also kick ass in softball, and teach everyone in Florida how awesome people form Massachusetts are. I wish that you get to join our suite and we all have marathons of Pretty Little Liars and Lacey gets you hooked on Are You The One! I wish that we all enter our senior year with an even better bond than we have now. Here's to more Target trips and basketball games!

4. Rachel

I wish you all the luck in lax, and that you kick ass all the way to sectionals. I wish that we close out junior year with great memories (even ones about Lacey talking to Abe Lincoln orbs) and even better grades. I wish 2017 brings you so many new adventures with Ben, great memories with your family, and more concerts (hell yeah). I wish that you get in to all the grad schools that you apply too, and their psychology program is da best! Also I wish that 2017 brings you many dogs that need petting. So many doggos you won't know what to do!

5. Lacie

I wish that 2017 brings you the happiest of graduations (omg stop I'm gonna cry) and that when you get that big shiny new degree that you feel super accomplished and proud of yourself, because I know so many people will be! I wish that you find the perfect job that makes you happy, and that you and James continue to explore and make cute Instagram's to show off! I wish that we definitely make plans to hang out in Boston and celebrate life as a graduate and all the achievements we've made. I wish that you find yourself content with life every time you wake up and that you live your life to the fullest, even if that just means eating a whole vegan pizza and not feeling a single ounce of regret, #notevenaletter.

6. Julie

I wish that 2017 brings you all the little cuties at PRAC, and that your commute is always minimal. I wish that you go see the Biebs again and sing your little heart out because I loved seeing the snaps of you being so happy. I wish that as we close out junior year, you have nothing but awesome memories of your classes, friends, and your first year as an RA! I wish that we make the struggle of Wheelock education courses so much better because we have each other to lean on. I wish that you and Evan get to make a million happy memories and you spend so much time at the beach! Here's to 2017 being way less stressful than 2016!

7. Mehgyn

I wish that you find nothing but happiness in 2017. I wish that we all get to meet up and hang out like old time, and that you find everything you're looking for right now. I wish that 2017 isn't a struggle, and that you make amazing memories with your friends and family (your mom is getting remarried!!!! yaas momma B!). I wish that you find your way to the beach, we haveee to meet up in Hampton this summer!) and we get sunburnt and salty together. I wish we get to make so many new memories over the year.

8. Joanna

I wish that 2017 brings you a stress-free environment and college workload (hey, I said I wish, I can't guarantee its going to be stress-free!) I wish that our time in Wheelock education courses is never dull, and we always make those three hours courses worth it! I hope you spend time with a bunch of little cuties in your prac classroom and that Boston gives you everything it has to offer to make memories! I wish that you get to see a bunch of puppies and cute dogs while you're out and about, and that those dogs love being pet and give lots of doggie kisses that make you happy. I wish that your college years close out with accomplishments and amazing moments you won't forget!

And to everyone else who may come across this, I hope 2017 brings you fulfillment, happiness, stability, and hope. I wish that you start the year good, and end it even greater.

And here's an actual shot of me swimming into 2017. :)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
