To my partner in crime:
You are one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my entire life. When I got to college, I could’ve never imagined that I would’ve met someone who has changed my life in the way you have. You’re not only my best friend, but also my partner in crime and my sister. There’s just something about the two of us; we just click.
Through out our freshman year, we've made incredible memories. From mattress surfing down the stairs, to the lunch dates, to living in someone else's room together... you've stood by my side though so much. I can't believe how lucky I am to know you, and even luckier to call you my best friend. You've done so much for me and theres no possible way I could properly thank you.
Thank you so much for standing by my side through some of the most difficult times in my life, and even the little stuff. From the bad grades, to the days my mom was in the hospital, and even taking the most stressful test in the world together. Your love and support has gotten me through things I couldn’t have on my own. I know that no matter what issues I’m having, I can always turn to you to love and support me through every challenging moment I’ve faced and am yet to faced. I hope that you know that you can always turn to me no matter what your problem is. I will always support you.
Thank you for listening to all the stupid problems I’ve had to deal with in the past couple of months. You’ve listened to the stupid issues I’ve had with my roommates, with my other friends, and my boyfriend (even when he wasn’t my boyfriend). You were never easy on me, and always told me the truth no matter if I wanted to hear it or not. I know that sometimes it seemed like I wasn’t grateful or what you said upset me, but I always appreciated it. I’m really lucky to have someone who loves me enough to always tell me how it is. Our long nights where we sit and talk about all the crap going on are some of my favorites.
Thank you for the days where you helped me escape. Whether it was to the cute little park to hike, or to chipotle because I just needed a burrito bowl. It was nice to be able to leave campus in order to take my mind off of all the dumb drama that happening. It was nice to sit in the park and just be able to talk about anything and not be judged. You understand the good, the bad, and the weird about me, and I love that about you. Your crazy matches mine, which is probably why we fit so well together.
Thank you for always being on my team when I needed it. Even when I’m wrong, and you know I’m wrong, you never go against me. You simply tell me when I’m being stupid, but you never pick sides. You help me to realize that I need to pick my battles a bit more carefully, and I cant thank you enough for that. You never let me start stupid arguments, and helped me let go of some of the things that I usually would’ve let consume me. You’ve helped me remember a lot of what’s important.
Thank you for being the girl that motivated me when I needed it. On the nights where I wanted to eat 60 pizza rolls instead of go to the gym, you always found a way to pull me out of bed. When I had a 10 page paper due, you were always the one sitting by my side encouraging me to write as well as writing your own. You were always standing by my side encouraging me to be my best, and it’s always something I need.
I can’t wait to spend the next three years together, as not only best friends, but roommates too. Thank you in advance for all the late nights we’ll spend up talking, the days we spend laughing at lunch together, and the little coffee dates that lie ahead. I’m sorry in advance for the dumb bickering about stupid stuff, the nights that you’re going to have to physically lift me out of my bed to go to the gym, or the mornings you’re going to have to use an air horn to wake me up for class. I’m so happy to call you my best friend. I can’t picture my life without you!
I love you endlessly!
