Dear beautiful/smart/perfect sisters,
So, I ran home not even a month ago, but I have never felt more welcomed to anything in my life. I've had sisters text me, message me via Facebook, comment on insta pics, and come up to me in person even if I haven't had the opportunity to meet me yet- and tell me how happy they are that I rushed AOΠ. Having a countless amount of people tell you that they wanted to you to be a part of their sisterhood, when you've never felt like a part of a group, makes you feel overjoyed. I've felt such an outpouring of love, like I've never felt before. Each of you are such awesome people, I am so happy to call you my sister.
Going back to class is rough. Not going to lie about that. But having sisters check up on me, support me, laying in my bed to watch Netflix when I was stressed, helping me through some tough decisions (like changing my major), and be there for me while I've been sick- has made it so much easier. Plus, one of my sisters has become my best friend. We had a new member social, just a few days back, and we all got together for ice cream. Walking into a room with girls that are so happy that your there, even for just the most simple of things, has to be the best feeling.
My sisters barely know me yet, and they're looking out for me and making sure I feel at home. I've had sisters listen to me talk about the tough times as I've had when I was little and all they do is sit and listen to me and make me feel heard. I've talked about times in my life that were so difficult to talk about and they listen with open hearts and minds. I have sisters from all over and from all different backgrounds and we all come together to make this blanket of love that surrounds each and every one of us. To me, that's what makes my sisterhood, the best around.
From sitting together for lunch to get to know each other all the way to being there for me when I miss my family, you guys(gals) are the best. You've created such a great support system and an amazing sorority that I am so proud to be a part of. You people make up what a sorority should be like.
ALAM,
Happiest new member
