It's the time of the year that brings us holiday shopping, turkey, and reruns of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: Thanksgiving. I'm coming to the end of my classes this semester here at Southeastern Louisiana University; so far classes are great, and hopefully it'll be smooth sailing until the end of finals. Soon I'll be driving back home to Jena for three and half hours, by myself, might I add. I'm kind of terrified, so as I'm typing this, I'm multitasking and looking up directions. I'm excited to spend time with family and friends. I've really missed seeing my buds since coming to Hammond, so a lot of my time will be allotted for them, but I'm also looking forward to just being able to watch TV with my mom, to hold my buns, Jasmine and Chester; and to hug my dogs, Sugar and Snoopy. The Sunday after Thanksgiving, I'll be headed back to Hammond, I'll be at school a few more weeks, and then I'll be headed back to Jena for Christmas.
I'm thankful for the opportunity I have to pursue a college education. I'm also thankful for my rabbits, my family and friends. They're not something I took for granted, but being away from them for so long definitely makes me appreciate them a little more.
Here's to a great holiday season.
