"Becoming healthier is more than losing weight. I'm going to improve the quality of life." — Affirmation of the Day on Tumblr
One way I have found that has improved my lifestyle is working out. Even exercising for thirty minutes to an hour each day can improve your health. There is not a set routine to what you have to do each time or day. My advice would be to try new things and talk to friends and trainers in order to figure out what you like to do. Pay attention to your body during this process and see what makes you feel best. If things become a little too much or do not feel right for you, then change your workout routine. Keep it fun and try new things so that you stay motivated.
As you may already know, sleep is very important. On average one's body needs around 8-9 hours of sleep. This may be tough for some people especially college students. However, I have found going to sleep at a certain time and waking up at the same time and getting enough hours has really affected me personally. I am well-rested, in a better mood, and more productive.
This other bit may seem odd to some people but drink water. Drinking water is essential to having a healthier lifestyle. For those who do not like water, keep in mind that drinking water has numerous benefits. I know when I don't drink water, my skin feels dry, and I tend to get headaches. A few of my friends who did not like water added pieces of fruit in order to give it a better taste.
My last little bit of advice would be to cut out any negativity in your life. If it is not making you happy and is weighing you down, then it does not need to be in your life. Nothing good comes from extra stress, worry, and sadness. These things can be people, activities, social media, etc.
Although these are only a few ways to help you live a healthier lifestyle, there are many more. Remember to be patient in the process. Results don't always happen overnight.
