Sometimes I can determine if a movie will make my top 10 favorite movies based on a single scene or line. So, here some of my favorite movies as told by a GIF.
1. The Princess Bride
I absolutely loved this movie. I grew up thinking it was a comedy version of "Zorro". However, while it reminds most people of that, it is really just an original movie. This movie is filled with fighting, name calling, love and some hilarious innuendos for the adults! All in all I give it a 9.5/10
2. Phantom of The Opera
While this is listed as number 2 on this list, Phantom of The Opera is actually my favorite movie of all time. I had always been very confused on what it was until I actually watched it. I listen to the soundtrack daily and my love for Gerard Butler (Phantom) has grown immensely.
3. The Notebook
Nicholas Sparks, back at it again with the tears! A beautiful story filled with love and possibly based on a true story. I remember seeing this for the first time, my 13 year old self cried like a baby getting its first shot.
4. The Vow
Channing. Tatum. 'nuff said.
5. Avengers
I grew up loving comics, so when the Marvel movies started coming out my heart grew ten sizes! Also, who doesn't love seeing Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. shirtless???????????
6. Gone Girl
I have one sentence for this movie: Read the book first.
7. Maleficent
Angelina Jolie makes a remarkable Maleficent. One of my favorite Disney remakes, I highly recommend this movie if you want to know the story behind the character in the Sleeping Beauty movie.
8. The Lone Ranger
It's certainly not your ol' man's "Lone Ranger," Kemo Sabe, but there's still plenty of kicks and stunts to make you wanna shout, "Hi-O, Silver! Away!"
9. The Princess and the Frog
A cute throwback to Disney movies of the past. I love jazz and the New Orleans setting and this was a great little film. It looked awesome on blu ray and had solid voice acting across the board.
10. The Addams Family
For anyone who loves everything Addams Family, like me, this is one of those touchstone films for you which you will always love. This movie is funny, quirky and so quintessentially Addams family that it's impossible for fans not to love it. Yeah, it's got a flimsy plot and kind of shallow villains and an unrealistically clean ending, but it's the little lines and little moments along the way that more than make up for the overall flimsiness. This is a film I will watch whenever it is rerun and one I will love forever.
