If you're like me, you are a 12-year-old trapped in a 20-year-old's body. So, hearing things that remind you of your beloved childhood make you a lot more excited than socially acceptable. Today, my roommate and I found out one of our favorite computer games is actually an app! I instantly downloaded it and beat the game within 30 minutes.
Here's a list of games you played as a child and probably forgot about.
1. Oregon Trail.
This ever so simple game filled with decision making and horrible graphics paved the way for all computer games that came after. This 1974 throwback was originally produced to teach children about the pioneer age in American history. The game ended up being a huge success, selling over 65 million copies!
2. Neopets.
Neopets was a website that every '90s kid was obsessed with at one point. These animated furry creatures required constant care and love or else they become ill. Having an abundance of Neopoints was near impossible because everything in the store was way more expensive than what I made in the games. Needless to say, my Neopets were always on the verge of starvation.
3. Putt Putt Saves the Zoo.
This is the newest edition to my iPhone screen. In this game you travel along with Putt-Putt through a zoo looking to save all the baby animals that got themselves in situations only a talking car and his dog can help them out off.
4. Freddi Fish.
Oh, Freddi, the times we had together. In this fun series you travel with Freddi and his friend Luther and solve mysteries under water, collecting purple sea urchin's on the way. Trust me when I say this will be the next game I download.
5. Anything on Disneygo.com.
This website had it all. After any Original Disney Channel movie came out they had at least one game to go along with it. Everything from Cadet Kelly's obstacle course challenge to this Lilo and Stitch inspired game, which just so happens to be my roommate's absolute favorite.
6. Webkinz.
Wow, did Hallmark make an abundance of money off of these damn stuffed animals. Every animal purchased unlocked an entire world online that allowed your furry friend to, literally, come to life. I probably spent close to $100 on these things and back when I was 10 years old that was like a million dollars, but I was obsessed.
