Every year Americans set their new year’s resolutions. This past year has been a big one, and everyone needs to step back and look at the big picture. Do we as a country want to keep going in the direction that we went this past year? Do we want our country, that our forefathers worked so hard to build, be destroyed by riots? This next year we need to put a different new year’s resolution for us, for America, for the country that our forefathers built.
We need to accept Donald Trump as our president. We have lived with Barak Obama as our president for the last eight years, and you didn’t see people rioting in the streets when he was voted president. We need to stop these riots against President-elect Donald Trump. People just need to accept that he is going to be our next president. Yes, some of us may not agree with his views, but our country needs to change. We need to come together and back our President. We need to give him a chance.
We all need to treat others like we would want to be treated. Sound familiar? Yes, it is the golden rule, and it is not outdated. It is real and genuine. We need to go back to the basics and follow what our kids learn in their first years of school. I still remember talking about it way back in first grade. It’s time to go back to the basics America.
The last thing Americas needs to do is respect the police and what their job is. They are here to protect us. We need to love them because they are people just like us. They are only trying to do their job. What would happen if they weren’t there? America wouldn’t be what it is today. We would have a lot of people roaming the streets that wouldn’t be safe for our children. Heck, I would have left the country already if we didn’t have police to protect us.
