Several days ago my throat started to hurt a little, so I hoped that it would just go away in a few hours. But I was sadly mistaken. The rest of that day and continuing into the night, my throat got progressively worse and I started to have common cold symptoms. I had cough drops, drank tea, drank Emergen-C, and took medicine, but the cold was already established so I had to wait for the inevitable. The painful, the tiring, the saddening common cold to really kick in. As it came closer to my bedtime I was feeling pretty horrible. My throat hurt more than I could imagine, and my body felt weak. Throughout all of this I kept thinking about the times when I wasn't sick. Just 24 hours before, I was feeling great and very energized. So all of that sparked this article about the thoughts that I had while being sick.
1. Oh no. I feel a tickle in my throat. Maybe it'll go away before it starts to hurt.
2. Why isn't it going away? It's starting to hurt now.
3. My throat is really hurting. Should I drink tea? I hate tea!
4. I need to call my friends because I don't know what type of tea to get.
5. Will tea magically heal me? I hope so.
