As the semester comes to an end, the holiday season comes into full force. But as every broke college student will soon realize, the holidays can be just as stressful as finals. Here are 7 thoughts every college student has before the holidays.
1) Please let me pass every class
There is nothing more nerve racking than the day you get your final grades back. What makes it worse is the fact that your parents are wondering just exactly how you did in every class. There is no worse feeling than having to tell your family over and over again how you didn't pass a class
2) I can't wait to sleep in my own bed.
While there are very comfortable mattress toppers on the market, there is nothing better than sleeping in your own bed, in your own room, alone.
3) Home cooked food.
After eating nothing but pizza, burgers, and ramen for several weeks or possibly even months, there is nothing better than coming home and having your family have made your favorite dishes.
4) How can I afford presents?
It wouldn't be the holidays without the stress of figuring out what to get people. Add on the fact that you are a broke college student, and double the stress. You feel bad if you don't get them something nice, but money doesn't grow on trees.
5) Will I make it without wanting to kill someone?
After spending four months on your own, you have formed your own opinion about what has been going on in our world. Given that the election just passed, I'm sure we are all a little on edge about what that conversation will look like. Let's just say we all feel your pain.
6) Have I gained too much weight?
It is inevitable that we all gain a little bit of weight while we are away at school. And we all have that one family member who loves to comment about and pick out all of the flaws about us. Know that you are amazing and beautiful
7) I'm gonna miss this place.
You may only be gone for a month, but school has become your new home. You have friends and family here. But just think, in a month you get to come right back.
