Finals are fast approaching, and as a Freshman this will be my first time taking finals as a college student. So, here are five thoughts and expectations that I have for my first round of college finals.
1. I'm going to be up until the crack of dawn studying every night.
The way people talk about finals, they make it seem like it’ll consume my life entirely for that week. Do I feel my first all-nighter coming on?
2. My studying won't help. I still won't know any of the answers.
We've all had that test that we studied hours for and then, we read the first question, and we don’t know the answer. I have a hunch some of my finals might be exactly like that.
3. I'll fail all my finals.
I’m being over dramatic with this one. I doubt I’ll fail all of my finals. But I sincerely hope that if I fail one of my finals it isn’t music theory because no one wants to experience that twice. Can I get an amen music majors?
4. Every second will feel like my last.
A combination of lack of sleep and overload of information will make me feel like my death is suddenly upon me.
5. When it’s finally all over, it’ll be Christmas break!
The one thing that keeps me going is the thought that after all my finals are taken, I get to go home for an entire month of rest and relaxation!!
