Ladies, it's not that deep...guys, we're not crazy...

The Difference Between Guy's And Girl's Thought Process
Tim Stief

It is a scientific fact that men and women have differently wired brains. This explains why we have such a hard time understanding each other. It is no secret that girls love to overthink every little thing and make the smallest issues complicated whereas to a guy, the answer seems so simple. From a girl’s perspective, boys are just oblivious and we don’t understand why boys don’t get our hints. From a boy’s point of view, girls are just crazy. Here are just a few ways that guys and girls are typically on different pages.

1. Texting

Girls: When a guy takes more than 10 minutes to reply, girls start to think What is going on? Is he not interested in me? Am I ugly? Is he with another girl? What’s wrong with me?

Guys: Meanwhile, the boy is likely just caught up watching a football game or playing 2K with his friends. It’s really not all that serious. He probably didn’t even realize that the girl replied.

2. Social Media

Girls: When a guy likes another girls picture, girls like to assume that means there is something between them. When a guy likes her own picture, or favorites a tweet, girls get a little too excited that this means they are super interested. Omg he liked my insta pic…what should we name our first child?

Guys: Guys do not put this much thought into a like or a favorite. Yeah, he might like a girl’s picture if he thinks she’s cute but this by no means implies anything more than simply that. Hold off on the wedding plans for now, ladies.

3. Spending time together

Girls: We haven’t seen each other in five days…he totally isn’t into me anymore. I should have known all along. How could I be so stupid? He’s probably already moved on and hanging out with other girls every day.

Guys: Most of the time guys are actually just busy and haven’t even realized it has been five days.

4. Appearance

Girls: He’s kind of cute. His hair is a little weird but he has really nice eyes. His personality makes him super likable though. I love a guy that can make me laugh.

Guys: She’s hot or she’s not.

5. Dates

Girls: Girls will think about a date days in advance. We start getting ready hours before, plan the perfect outfit and spend an hour forming flawless curls to anxiously wait to be picked up by our prince charming.

Guys: Oh, I’m supposed to pick her up in 15 minutes. I guess I’ll take a quick shower and head over.

Girls will just never understand that sometimes guys actually aren’t thinking anything at all. Our brains just aren’t wired that way. We like to blow things out of proportion and drive ourselves crazy with thoughts. Guys just like to go with the flow and hang with their bros. They will never understand how much we interpret every little thing that happens between us. We will always have this fundamental difference and the opposite sexes and will just never be able to fully relate.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
