This Year's Election Is A Joke

Every four years a group of people over 35 manifest themselves before our eyes. They all promise us wonderful things that some are happy with and some are not. Usually they are things that have both madness and logic. Well, this year has been similar to the elections prior, Only, this time has been crazier than usual. They no longer try to get their ideas across anymore. They insult each other to the point where Liberals scream things like "racism!" or "sexism." You get the idea. It's a joke. Let's explain it like it is.

Let's begin with the Republican Party. As much as we want to forget, we will always remember that one debate the Conservatives could have use to examine the candidates' policies and ideas. Instead, they used it to talk about Trump's penis size. Seriously, that actually happened. Now, as the serious conservatives that some of you may be, you were probably hoping that the media will cover important things like whatever happened to Ebola or Liberal policies that you people could have criticized in the privacy of your homes. Nope. It is important for channels like CNN or Fox to cover a penis joke. This is where you folks start to lose a little bit of hope. It doesn't stop there though. I heard someone said that the biggest victim of this election is not us; it's the Republican Party itself. Poor guys. You have a huge part of the population trusting you, just to let them down by nominating a 70 year old toddler. I mean, sure every now and then he makes it up, like when he finally admitted that Obama was born in U.S soil or when he says that he loves Latinos (debatable). Yet he wants to build a wall and have Peña Nieto pay for it.

And then there is my favorite: The Democrats! Let's start with the dream, the man that was going to change it all: Bernie Sanders. Once upon a time he had a vision. He wanted to make the world a better place. Everything was in harmony until the Party attack. Dramatic? A bit. They sabotaged him for the sake of the greater food, Hillary Clinton. I think the reason he was so praised is because he was something new. I believe when everything seems lost, the one thing we don't know is our hope. But Alas! He lost his dignity and, along with Obama, claimed that Clinton is capable of being president. You know, after saying that she wasn't. I hope he is enjoying that vacation home he bought. Oh, well. Which leaves us with Her. I'd support her too. If I were high in another universe. Somehow Clinton got to tun for president, while being under investigation by the FBI because of normal regular things, like Benghazi and classified emails. However, it doesn't matter because according to those who support her she will be the very first female president, which seems to be very important. So important that they have forgotten that she didn't believe in Gay marriage, and now she does. Or how she offended half of population by calling them deplorable. Or how she supported the Iraq war, and now she doesn't. Supported the TPP Trade, and now she doesn't. Basically, every single time the woman has changed her mind for her benefits. So here you go, folks. These are the people in charge of your future: Clinton and Trump. You choose.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
