This simple ballad has made my Monday! I have heard a few other songs from Homme, but I was always like “they’re good” and never explored deeper. Chang min and Lee Hyun have the most clearest and beautiful voices that I have heard in a while. “Dilemma” has a simple piano accompaniment that compliments the lyrics and showcases their voices as well. I really love this song!

Monday 8.29.16: Heehyun (DIA), Somi, Choi Yoo Jung, and Kim Chung Ha(I.O.I)- Flower, Wind, and You
This is a very light hearted song with light precussion, piano and some hip hop influnce (record scratching). Overall, I thought the song was okay; but, it didn’t really “tickle my fancy” so to speak. I could listen to this song once, and I would be okay with it.

I have been a fan of Nu’est for a long time. And in my opinion they are ONE of the most underrated Kpop boy groups in the industry. “Love Paint” explores sections that are more R&B, Pop and Hip Hop influences throughout the song. Honestly, I liked the song because of its variations of genres throughout which I am not accustom to for Nu’est. However, I thought the song was a good change of pace for them.

I have heard of Microdot, but I don’t think that I have heard any of his songs. “My Lemonade” was a nice refreshing hip hop song with a nice, quirky groove to it. This song actually lifted my mood a little bit, which would make it a definite “feel good” type of song.

I didn’t care for Mamamoo before, but I actually kind of like this song. It has this ragtime and hip hop vibe to the song that you can’t help to move your head to. I can actually listen to this on repeat, which is a first.

I instantly fell in LOVE with this song! It has this lazy, psychodelic beat with B-Free rapping over the background with a similar feeling. This was definitely a step up from his song “Freedom” that was released recently.

I don’t listen to too much trot, so this one kind of wasn’t my favorite. It’s very catchy, don’t get me wrong, but I just really didn’t connect with the song.

Sunny Hill has always been under the radar for me, and I always forget about them. This song in particular is a very calm and sweet song with a pop/classical vibe, but that is it. There isn’t anything truly “ear” catching about the song.

This song has a typical dreamy ballad vibe to it. I have never heard of Yang Da Il,but he has a really nice voice. Hyolyn on the other hand can move people to tears with her voice. The duet I think was a good choice, and it is a beautiful song.

The first thing I noticed is that the song has this Cindy Lauper “Girls Just Want to have fun” sample in the background. The song itself was cute, but nothing made me fall in love with it.

Hoody has been featured on a lot of AOMG songs lately, because of being a new artist to the label. It had a Drake “One Dance” kind of feel to it. I liked the song it was really nice, especially the beat drops in between.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME (Literally!). After a two year hiatus due to military duty, one of my favorite rappers is back. This song is really beautiful and “classic” Swings. The soft Trap R&B in the background is the perfect match to this song. Swings is definitely back in a good way.

The Quiett is always one of my favorites. He always has this smooth “old school” hip hop influence. This is actually a sequel to a past song and they are both pretty good. I think this song is good for just relaxing or on a drive. Hash Swan has this weird, quirky voice that goes with the song and I actually liked him in the song.
