And this is how I know that change is a good thing. The moves, the change, the unpredictability that just so happens to exponentially change your current state, all these things bring to and remind me about perspective; about what to fixate on and be thankful for.
I lived somewhere else, I went to a different college, I met entirely different people, reconnected entirely with my best friend, had no predispositions of my brother accomplishing Airborne and Ranger school within the same year, I watched family history repeat itself, and most certainly grew to find more of myself and experience the world around me.
In essence, I see the value in travel, in exploring, in change, and in submerging oneself into new and different scenarios that are uncertain and sometimes uncomfortable.
This is simply another reminder to maintain perspective. Take a step away from your own self, your own mentality, and your own sensitivity towards everything and sympathize to the world around you. Not by involvement in the world's impulse and various evils and temptations, but in investment to genuine relationships, flourishment, consideration and openness to alternative views, and in intellectual health.
