The Fader

We all know Donald Trump is the last person we want to lead our great country of America. He is a businessman, though, an author and a TV personality, so what better person is there to run for the presidency, right?

Recently, American hip-hop artist, YG, released his new song “FDT Pt. 2” earlier this month. If you don’t know what that acronym is, it stands for f*** Donald Trump. This isn’t YG’s first jab at Trump since the first song he came out with about him was called “FDT”. His first song featured Nipsey Hussle, where they both called out Trump for being racist and how everyone thought that him running for presidency was all just a huge joke. Since then, YG’s second song, "FDT Pt. 2" features even more big artists such as G-Eazy and Macklemore.

Both G-Eazy and Macklemore really go in on Trump in this newest song. Macklemore jokes — or maybe doesn't joke — about how if Trump wins, he would move to Canada since his wife is half Canadian. I mean, who didn’t think about fleeing the country if Trump became our president? In G-Eazy’s verse, he goes on to say how America is pretty much screwed if Trump wins and that Trump would ruin everything that Obama has worked for of all his years in presidency.

This song makes a lot more comments about Trump that you just have to hear for yourself. I think it's great that these artists came together to create a song about what is going on in our country. It's also pretty catchy and somewhat comical. So, if you haven't heard "FDT Pt. 2" yet, go check it out!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
