Why This Season of the Bachelorette is “The Most Dramatic Season Yet”

The Bachelorette's host, Chris Harrison, likes to start off every show’s preview reminding the audience how Kaitlyn Bristowe's season may be “the most dramatic yet.” Although this statement has probably been used to describe every season leading up to this one, I think fans can finally agree this time it is finally true. This season’s premiere foreshadowed just how untraditional Kaitlyn’s entire reign as Bachelorette would be when it started with two women instead of one. From there it is safe to say things spiraled out of control…

Week one: Kaitlyn or Britt?

Okay, so Britt got the boot... but Kaitlyn's happy!

Week two: Jared goes to the hospital and Kupah gets aggressive.

Poor Jared with went down hard after battling the lovely Ben Z. ;) but Kaitlyn thought the black eye was hot so that's win for Jared. The episode continues and Kupah gets a little testy with Kaitlyn and then he is asked to leave the show. No surprise here, it didn't go smoothly.

After his eventful exit interview, Chris Harrison described it as, yes you guessed it, "the most dramatic” exit interview ever!

Week three: Tony’s sumo meltdown and the biggest romance of all heats up between Clint and JJ.

Our favorite healer Tony unleashed his ultra sensitive side after he stormed out of a Sumo wresting group date offended by the great violence it brought. "I look at the world through the eyes of a child," said Tony. "I have the heart of a warrior and the spirit of a gypsy and I want you to see all those sides of me." Tony then proceeded to pack his bags and leave. Bye Tony!

There seemed to be more love spreading in the house for JJ and Clint than there was with Kaitlyn. There is no denying that "bromance," just look at the way they gaze into each others eyes. Clint then announced his feelings on camera “The possibility to coming on The Bachelorette and falling in love with a man never crossed my mind and at this point, I’m a success story.” Well Clint you definitely are something that's for sure.

Week four: JJ has more emotions that Clint is leaving then he has showed towards Kaitlyn so far. The real curve ball comes when “The Other Guy,” Nick Viall comes lurking from the shadows to sneak his way from Andi’s season to Kaitlyn’s.

JJ when Clint left (above) vs. JJ when he left Kaitlyn (below.. and later to come in the season)

A confused face because he thought he was the best but no tears like he shed for Clint.

Loyal Bachelor/Bachelorette fans, we all remember this... So why in the world is Nick Viall making his reappearance on Kaitlyn's season??? We all know the other guys were less than pleased with Kaitlyn's decision to keep him on the show and fans seemed to agree. On the night of the airing of this episode the lovely Andi Dorfman tweeted,

Week five: Nick moves in with the rest of the guys and it is goes as expected (poorly). Ian saw there was no “happily ever after” coming his way between he and Kaitlyn so he decided to go out with a bang.

Clearly, this seating arrangement cannot be comfortable, but no one is getting close to "The Other Guy." The whole episode proceeds to go this way (downhill). It all ended when Mr. Pretentious Princeton (Ian) slut-shamed Kaitlyn. "I feel like you're here to make out with a bunch of dudes on TV. And bringing Nick in, I don't question his intentions – I question your intentions. I really see you as a surface-level person at this stage, and I wonder if you're really that shallow because I don't see anything beyond the surface."

Kaitlyn was less than amused...

Week six/seven: This is when things get really fun… SEX SCANDAL and the madness that comes along with it.

Although they previewed for weeks that Kaitlyn would be intimate with one of her suitors, we find out this week that the suitor is everyone's least favorite person, Nick. His "passionate" love affair with Kaitlyn seems awfully familiar *cough cough* Andi *cough*

After their hot and steamy date the reality that some of the guys might leave if they were to find out about Nick really started to set in. The rest of the show Kaitlyn looked like this (below).

In the midst of all the tears, Host Harrison told Kaitlyn that they're switching things up this season and she has to go from seven to three men this week (because they needed more curve balls in this season...). The tears continued to flow as she eliminated Chris "Cupcake" on their romantic date in Ireland.

.

The water works were real this episode.

Week eight: Kaitlyn opens up about her night with Nick to his number one fan, Shawn Booth, and surprisingly it is handled pretty well.

Shawn has been seen as a front runner all season and for good reason. But his insecurities about “The Other Guy” seem to be taking a toll on him and Kaitlyn’s relationship.

Shawn B.'s continuous need for reassurance left Kaitlyn in a very uncomfortable situation (come on Shawn, if she doesn't love you I will).

She knew it was necessary for her to tell Shawn about her night with Nick but was very wary of the consequences. It surprisingly went better than planned but that didn't stop Shawn from confronting "The Other Guy."

The roller coaster is far from over and there is plenty more dramatics to come. This season has been quite dysfunctional but no complaints coming from me, thanks for adding a little scandal to every Monday night. Hold on fans we are so close to another Bachelor/Bachelorette engagement!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
