A party is not complete without some sing-along songs. I'm not talking about blasting "Wrecking Ball" on repeat as loud as you can to get everyone going because chances are, its not going to happen. For those of you who think a night can function with just rap songs or dub step, I'm about to hit you with some knowledge. The combination of floor shaking choruses and Grammy worthy air guitar solos that will ensue during this list of songs will absolutely rock your socks off.
1. "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers
Probably one of the best songs to ever be written, "Mr. Brightside" will take you on a roller coaster of emotions in a matter of minutes. And when I say a roller coaster of emotions, I don't mean waterworks, but hey if they do cry, who am I to judge? I just mean that you were probable already having a great night and this just took it to the next level. Honestly the party doesn't start until The Killers walk in.
2. "The Anthem" by Good Charlotte
The guitar solos alone will give you chills. What i'm saying is this is "The Anthem" so throw all your hands up.
3. "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" by Nine Days
This is the story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world. What a better song to sing along to, am I right?
4. "Sadie Hawkins Dance" by Relient K
Not a lot to say about this song other than it never disappoints.
5. "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond
Taking it way back to the good old days. Notorious for being played at baseball games, this classic is always a crowd-pleaser. When a song is played at something to be known as the 'Americas Pastime' you would be a fool not to throw it in the mix.
6. "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne
Last but certainly not least is "Stacy's Mom." No playlist would be complete without a little Fountains of Wayne thrown into the mix. I do caution you that while you heat up the aux cord with this little diddy things can get a little hectic. Limbs are flailing and beverages are pouring, but believe me, it will be the best time of your life.
