There are too many things we encounter in college - both good and bad. Despite all of the bad, one of the really good things about college is you, all the friends I have made here. I could not begin to express how happy, lucky, and loved I feel when in your presence. With that, this letter is to you.
To the girl who let me cry on her shoulder after I failed my first college exam, to the girl who made sure my drink was safe at parties, to the girl who visited me at work so I wouldn't be lonely, to the girl who picked me up so I wouldn't have to walk too far, or to the girl who rented movies with me on every Friday night, and to the girl who would binge on fast food with me:
I could never thank or imagine my life without you. The endless tears, laughter, happiness, and sadness are all things that I could not ever expect in a friendship. For me, throughout high school, I never grew so close to such people. I never felt such a bond with people I had reluctantly met in so many ways - class, study groups, campus events, waiting in line, parties, Greek life, football games, or even living in a dorm on campus. To all of the people I have encountered in so many ways, you have changed my life. You have given me your passions, love, jokes, study tips, and more. I could never make it through this semester, or even college, without you.
I feel weird leaving campus and seeing the posts of you all with your friends from home. I always think of the several different paths we had come from. Each of you offer something different to me. We are all making the same mistakes and living these moments of our lives to the absolute fullest. Together, we are going through the same trials and helping each other through the toughest moments of our lives. This is what makes our bond one of the strongest ones of all of the friendships I have ever encountered before this stage of my life.
Thank you so much for being you, for being there for me, and for showing me the truest, most rare form of friendship there is.
