I feel like in life there are something that just don't make sense. Like "i" before "e" except after "c"... This rule doesn't even apply to all words, so why is it even a rule? So today I decided to wrack my brain for all the questions I have about the world, and why some things in life just don't make sense.
1. Turn Signals. Why are they there when no one ever uses them?
2. Land Lines. As said in the Neighbors 2 trailer, they are old people phones. Why do they still exist?
3. Poppy Seeds. Why do they make lemon muffins so much better?
4. Makeup. Why do people paint their face?
5. Motorcycles. Who was so lazy that they put a motor on a bicycle?
6. Rice Krispies. Why do they snap, crackle, pop?
7. Kangaroos. Why didn't any other animals get the convenience of a pocket?
8. Bagels. Is the hole in the middle really necessary?
9. Blueberries. Aren't there other berries that are also blue?
10. Kiwis. Why do they have hair?
11. Eggplants. What part of it is an egg?
12. Planes. Weighing thousands of pounds and still the only vehicle to fly. Explain this to me, science.
13. Sponge Cake. Does it soak up liquids? How does it qualify as a sponge?
14. Oysters. Is the pearl their offspring? How does this work?
15. Plantains. Are they not just fancy bananas?
16. Hot Dog. It's not made of dog, so why is it called this?
17. April Fool's Day. Who was the original April Fool that only pranked people once a year?
18. Sporks. Not a good spoon, also not a good fork. Why do we use them?
19. Kraft Mac and Cheese. Why is it yellow? What cheese is that yellow?
20. Pickles. Who originally left a cucumber in a jar for so long that it turned into a pickle?
21. Mitochondria. Why are they the "powerhouse of the cell"? Why not the ribosome?
22. Stew. How is this different from soup?
23. Garbage Bags. Why do we buy them to throw them away?
24. Pugs. How are they possibly descendants of wolves?
25. Cream Cheese. Is it cheese or is it cream? Do we even know?
26. Sesame Seeds. Where do they come from? Is there a sesame plant?
27. Gum. Why do we chew a wad of sugar and goop from trees?
28. Belts. Why can't we just make pants that fit?
29. Sweet Potatoes. Why do we call them potatoes when they're actually yams?
30. American Cheese. Why did we pick the worst kind as our national cheese preference?
31. Carrot Juice. How do you make liquid from a rigid dry fruit?
32. Grapefruit. Where is the grape in this fruit?
33. Margarine. If it's not butter, what is it?
34. Baby Carrots. By eating them, are we ruining any chance they had of growing up?
