Whether you're a super verbal person, or slightly socially inept like me, chances are that you don't always remember to tell your friends just how much you appreciate them. They are important people in our lives and it's important to share that with them, and even with the whole world. Yeah, they're THAT great. You might not see them very often for whatever reason, or maybe you see them every day, either way, these are just a few things that I feel are important to share with them. So, to all my friends reading this, this is for you!
1. You're doing great!
Whether I always know what you're up to, or we haven't had an update in a while, I know you're doing the best you can. There may be people and issues pressing down on you, telling you that you're doing this or that wrong, but just stay true to yourself. Even if you think you're screwing everything up, I know that you've got this.
2. I'm proud of you
I probably don't say it enough, or maybe even ever say it out loud, but I'm so fricking proud of you! You've accomplished so much, even if it doesn't feel like it sometimes. Don't compare yourself to the accomplishments of others, cause that's not fair to you. Be proud of yourself and how far you've come, cause I know I am.
3. You're beautiful
I mean, look at you. You're amazing, and I don't just mean how you look on the outside. You're such a caring and thoughtful person, and I'm so glad I get to know such a beautiful person. You make my life brighter with your beauty.
4. You're strong
Life can suck sometimes and there's no getting around it. But every time you get knocked down, you get right back up. And even if it takes a little bit longer after every time, you still had and have the strength to do it again. I've gone through some things with you and I've marveled to myself about how you got through it. I'm in awe.
5. You're enough
I don't mean this in a haughty or snobby way, in that you're good enough to be my friend. I mean that you're always enough without the definitions or opinions of others. If you sometimes feel like you should be thinner or better looking, or anything like that. Take a deep breath and remember how awesome you actually are. You're valid and amazing, and no one can take that away from you.
6. You can get through this
Hard times are inevitable, but whatever dark period or issue you're going through. It'll pass, and you'll still be going strong. This rough patch won't last forever. Whatever it is, I know you can beat it.
7. I love you
I know I don't say this enough. I'm pretty bad about saying it at all really, but I really do. I love you. I'm so happy to have you in my life, and I'm glad we can talk about serious topics, or even the dumbest stuff ever. My life has been better with you in it.
