How To Judge A Guy's Date-a-bility

"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."

People watching is an activity that everyone does. Nothing is better for passing time than sitting on a bench with your friends watching people. I know this might sound super creepy, but everyone does it. Have you ever looked at someone doing something and it has given insight into who they are? As a girl, I typically do this with judging guys. Here are the things we see a guy do that gives us huge insight on their character.

1. How he treats his mom.

This one is major. Listen to him talking to his mom on the phone or how he texts her. Is he rude? Does he raise his voice? The way they treat their mom is how they treat women in general.

Be nice to your moms people!

2. How he treats waiters/waitresses.

This one is personally my favorite one to judge a guy on. To me this is a MASSIVE judge of character on how he treats someone that gets him is food. Typically, waiters and waitress are stereotyped as not high class since they their job is getting food, but this is ridiculous. Leave dinner if your date is rude to the waiter, that's not acceptable.

3. How he treats his inferiors.

Here comes in my extensive knowledge of Harry Potter. One of the best quotes from Sirius Black:

4. His posture.

Are they confident with themselves? Are they mad? Are they interested? You can tell a lot about a guy by the way they are standing and sitting. If someone is hunched over, they probably don't have the most confidence. If they are tense they might be nervous or mad. Look out for these key movements.

5. How they treat the elderly/kids/animals.

IF THEY ARE MEAN TO ANIMALS GET OUT NOW!!! You don't need that in your life!! When boys are good with kids we are instantly more attracted to them. Why? Because that is a trait that some people have that we look for - paternal. Even though we might not be in that stage, it still is attractive to us and great thing to have. Also, you don't want an asshole as a boyfriend that is mean to the elderly.

6. What they laugh at.

This is a great one. What they laugh at shows what kind of person they are. Are they crude laughing at a dirty joke? I mean everyone laughs a fart joke every once in a while. Personally, sarcasm and dry humor is the best to me, so if a guy can keep up with my own then he gets extra points (plus you someone who makes you laugh).

7. How they talk about a person when that person isn't around.

As a girl, I understand this one. It is hard not to talk about someone behind their back, sometimes you just NEED to vent. But to be fake and be sweet to their face, and then as soon as they go away start talking about them? Not cool.

(Regina George, queen of talking behind people's backs)

I am not saying that all these things are what you should judge a guy on if you want to date them or even just being friends, but these are great things to look for in anyone. And remember, everyone has bad days and can't be perfect all the time.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
