Having friends and family is great for a lot of things, but there are some things that only your dog can do for you or understand. Dogs often serve as a friend and family, but can do much more for you than most humans can. The unconditional love and loyalty provided by dogs to their owners is well known and irreplaceable. Here are a few examples of things only your furry friends can help you with.
1. They help you with your laziness…
In both ways. Dogs are the perfect companion to help you either get out into nature and be active or the complete opposite. If you want to lay on the couch all day and watch Netflix they will gladfully snuggle with you for a marathon of your favorite TV series (they will never argue with you about what to watch either!) But if you feel like going on a run, hike or even swim and become one with nature your furry bestie will encourage you to stay outside as long as you can. Some dogs will even do some yoga with you (who do you think invented downward dog?)
2. They understand when you are upset.
Sometimes people can get upset for very irrational reasons. In these situations most humans would point out how silly you are for getting upset. Dogs will never question your feelings. They are always there to listen and offer much more than a shoulder to cry on. They would never judge you for something you've done and they unconditionally agree with you and make you feel better no matter what the circumstances are or how silly they truly may be.
3. They are always down to eat with you.
Humans may judge you for eating a whole gallon of ice cream in one sitting or a whole large pizza from Papa John's, but your dog will never bat an eye at such behavior. Your dog will gladly join in on eating to your hearts content…especially in the hopes that you will share with them. They also know how much you hate to clean up so any food dropped on the floor will be graciously picked up before you can blink.
4. They always want to make new friends and are very good at it.
Some humans can be very antisocial, but your little butt sniffing friends never fail to be the life of the party.
5. Last but not least, they will never leave your side.
People sometimes come in and out of your life, but a dog will stay with you their whole life. That's right their whole entire life. That is something special that you may not be able to experience with anyone else. A dog becomes a part of the family and stays with you every day they have.
