Sometimes, people suck. But have you ever heard of a dog sucking? Has anyone ever come up to you before and said, "Oh yeah, Spot, that little asshole, he cheated on me again this week." Nope. Dogs are perfect little pieces of heaven, and all they want in life is to be your best friend. I would rather spend the rest of my life surrounded by fluffy little puppies than boys, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So here are 18 reasons why dogs are 100% better than a significant other.
1. They clean up after your messes.
Ever spill something? Don't worry, the dog will get it!
2. They are always down for some snuggles.
They're your best friend and snuggle partner.
3. They love kisses.
Any time of the day or night, puppies love to give kisses to their favorite humans.
4. Naptime is their favorite time.
Seriously, anytime. They'll never complain that you nap too much, either.
5. They'll never stand you up.
They'll most likely always be looking for you, and if you're not home, they wait at the door for you to come back.
6. They won't complain about you talking to other puppies.
They might get a little jealous, but hey, they'll forget about it in 20 minutes anyway!
7. They don't care what time you come home, as long as you give them a treat.
One little strip of bacon and you're right back at the top of their list of favorite things.
8. They'll never talk shit behind your back.
They can't talk. Ha.
9. Your mother will automatically love them.
You don't have to worry about having to convince them to like each other. Your dog will love anyone you love and your mom is a wonderful woman, I'm sure she'll love the dog, too.
10. You can have as many as you want without being called a slut.
This is not the case with significant others. But with dogs, the worst that will happen is you might have a strange case of disappearing shoes.

In fact, they probably love it, because it probably means you're staying home to play with them.

Even if a dog does something they shouldn't, like ripping up a cushion or eating the pizza off the counter, they can't lie about it. You always know what they did and when.

No matter what you do, your dog will love you anyway. A dog is only part of your life, but to them, you're their whole life.
