You get called "mom" way too often for not having any children of your own, but you wouldn't change it for the world. Being the mom of your friend group can be tiring, frustrating and let's be honest, a pain in the ass, but you can’t help it; being mom is an impulse. If you find yourself checking in on all your friends at a party, or making sure they’re keeping up in school, you may find these mom things to be a little too relatable.
1. Your friends actually refer to you as Mom.
This may seem too obvious, but you often wonder if they even remember your name! You must be walking around in mom jeans!
2. You can’t rest until you know where the “kids” are.
If you had to turn in early or couldn’t go out that night, you cannot sleep until you know all of your friends are alive and safe.
3. You get annoyed when boys, or anybody tells you to stop being Mom.
This isn’t a choice, it is my life.
4. You know each of your friend’s limits and you have no problem telling them when they reach them.
We all know when we reach our limit we could dangerously make decisions that we will regret, but mom is there to stop you, always.
5. You can always find yourself gathering up the squad at 2 a.m. to end a crazy night.
Once you do get everyone together to leave, you always have one that wanders off again. Eventually you successfully round everyone into the Über and it feels so good.
6. You end up doing this when the sneaky kid finds a way around your limit patrol.
Sometimes one of the girls finds a way to go crazy and as Mom, you’ll of course still have her back.
7. You get frustrated, stressed and tired being Mom.
Honestly, it sucks being mom, but you wouldn’t change it for the world. You love your friends/kids.
8. Ultimately you know they love you for it too.
Your friends may seem unaware of all of your Mom efforts, but they appreciate it more than you know; Even when they disobey you. Tisk ,Tisk.
