Can’t live with them, can’t live without them. Boys are always doing things that drive us crazy.
Boys are nearly impossible to deal with, yet we continue to attempt the impossible every time we become interested in someone new.
Recently I was thinking about my relationship with the malepopulation as a whole and I came up with one statement that accurately defines it. “I spend my life either loving boys and the idea of them, or completely detesting their entire existence. Nothing in between.”
I have decided to write a compilation of things guys do that I dislike as well as some added opinions of my closest friends, obviously anonymously. I can almost guarantee that you will fully agree with everything on the list. It makes me mad when boys…
1. Don’t text back, or don’t text back within a certain time span. This time span ranging from two minutes to forever.
2. Give a one word response to a very important text.
3. Choose their friends over you regularly.
4. Talk to you superficially. For example, asking surface questions with nothing deep and meaningful about them.
5. Actions speak louder than their words.
6. Don’t bring you Starbucks in the morning.
7. Don’t want to cuddle unless it benefits them in some way.
8. Cheat.
9. Lie about who they are with.
10. Put their hands in their pants. For real, why?!
11. Never make a plan and expect you to make all the decisions.
12. Think one girl is not enough for them.
13. Treat girls like objects.
14. Make you walk home on Valentine’s Day.
15. Don’t appreciate anything you do for them.
16. Have their read receipts on.
17. Have their read receipts on and decide to read your message and still not text you back.
18. Act like they don’t even know you if you seem them at a party, social or a bar.
19. Fart.
20. Think you want more than you really do.
21. Stop talking to you all together because they foolishly think you want more than you really do.
22. Shake their head to pretend like they're listening to what your saying but completely tune you out.
23. Are sarcastic with you when you are trying to have a meaningful conversation.
24. Do things to purposefully make you mad.
25. Do things to make you mad then ask why you are mad.
26. Won’t buy you pizza.
27. Won’t share their pizza.
28. Won’t drive you anywhere.
29. Say something to make you feel special and then take that feeling away from you.
30. Don’t offer to let you wear their clothes.
31. Say, “Let’s keep this on the DL.”
32. Only text you past ten o’clock at night.
33. Say anything having to do with sending pictures.
34. Say, “It’s just snapchat.”
35. Act one way in front of just you and another way around their friends, or worse, other girls.
36. Say "my phones been acting weird and I haven't gotten any of the messages you texted me last night" when you know it's a lie.
37. Wear bucket hats.
38. Wear other unfortunate things like socks and sandals.
39. Fall asleep when you have plans.
40. Call you hun, babe, sweetie, etc, when you literally just met them.
41. Think girls don’t poop. Like come on.
42. Don’t make sure you are comfortable with them before trying something.
43. Say. “It’s okay, I was drunk.”
44. Use being drunk as an excuse for anything.
45. Talk to other girls, look at other girls, or think about other girls.
I am sure that there are plenty more things guys do that annoy me and other girls, but these are some of the most important ones to me and my friends. Thank you to everyone who helped contribute these ideas, and look out for my follow up on things boys do that we actually like!
