I can't count the amount of times I have heard that "girls are so confusing" from my guy friends. Well, I can tell you that us girls think the same thing about you guys. I promise that we really aren't that hard to understand and if you take these words of advice, you might have more luck with the next girl you're interested in.
1. Personality is the most important thing.
Nice guys don't finish last.
2. Respect us and we will respect you.
Treat us the way you would want a guy to treat your sister.
3. Don't talk about your ex-girlfriend. Please.
This might just be the most unattractive thing a guy can do.
4. Ask us about our day, it makes us feel like you care.
Simply asking how our day went means more than you'd think.
5. Please don't post a ridiculous amount of selfies.
It's just a little strange when guys post multiple selfies....especially mirror pictures.
6. Call us "beautiful" and "sweetheart."
Nothing is worse than when a guy uses vulgar words to describe us. Call us beautiful, gorgeous and refer to us as sweetheart instead of "sexy" or "hot" and you might actually get the girl.
7. We like when you show us off to your friends and tell them about us.
Telling your friends about us makes us know that you care. Take your girl to a party with your friends and show her off to them and I promise she'll know how you feel about her.
8. It's attractive when you talk highly of your Mom.
Nothing is sweeter than a guy that loves and respects the women in his life. Tell us all the great things about your Mom, we think it's sweet.
9. Text us first.
You texting us first reassures us that you actually want to talk to us.
10. Don't expect us to pick you over our girls, because it's not going to happen.
Nothing is worse than a controlling guy. Let us hang out with our friends and never expect us to choose you over them because in most cases, that's not going to happen.
11. Give us space when we ask for it.
Sometimes we need our alone time. There will be times where we'd rather watch Grey's Anatomy and eat pizza by ourselves, so don't take offense to it when we say we want space.
12. Don't ignore us. Be up front about things and always be honest.
When a guy ignores a girl, she is going to think the absolute worse. Don't ignore a girl, ever. Tell her what it is that's bothering you or tell her that you're hanging out with friends and won't be able to text her back. Always be straight up about things or it'll just end up being much worse.
13. Don't call us crazy, even if we are acting like it.
Every girl has a little crazy in them and every girl gets jealous, we know this. We don't need to be reminded.
14. Girls are self conscious by nature, so don't compare us to any girl from your past.
You shouldn't even be bringing up girls from your past, but comparing us to them makes it even worse. If a girl likes you, she wants to be the only girl on your mind.
15. The little things matter way more to us than you think.
The simplest things mean so much. Flowers, a random date or even a phone call can make a girl's day so much better.
16. Be a gentleman.
Nothing is more attractive than a guy that acts like a gentleman.
17. That means to hold the door and open the car door too.
We like old fashioned things. We think it's sweet, so open the car door for us and you'll definitely earn some points.
18. We like pictures.
Just smile when we want a picture with you. Please don't complain about it every day.
19. When we say "it's fine" or "we don't care," we probably do.
These words are usually never true. Sorry guys.
20. We like to go on dates. Yes, real dates.
" Netflix and Chill" is not a date.
21. We like when you dress up.
Every girl likes a guy dressed up. It makes you look like you have it all together.
22. Let us vent when we need to.
Yeah, we're gonna complain about things. Let us rant to you and don't tell us that we're being dramatic.
23. If a girl has a brother, she needs him to like you.
Impressing her brother should be one of your top priorities. Brothers are protective, so you need to make him trust you.
24. Her parents have to like you too and Dad's approval isn't always easy to get.
Shake her Dad's hand or bring her Mom flowers. Show her that you care by treating her parent's with the most respect possible.
25. Every girl dreams about the guy she'll end up with.
We still have that little girl inside of us that believed in fairy-tales, so yes we dream of our wedding day and of the guy that we'll marry.
26. We still like romance, even though you may not.
Romance may seem old-fashioned to you, but we think it's sweet. Maybe we watched too many Disney movies, but we love that we did.
27. Guys with ambition are attractive.
Have passion about something. That is so much more attractive than a guy without any goals. Show us that you want to be successful.
28. My best friend liking you means more than you think.
Every girl needs her best friend's approval. Ask us how she's doing, make an effort for her to like you and never take us away from her.
I get that we seem a little confusing, we are in some ways I guess. Women just want to be respected and treated the way we always hoped we would be. It's clear that guy's no-a-days don't always treat girls the way they do in the movies, so take these pieces of advice and be different than the rest. Us girls wish every guy knew these things, it'd be much easier that way.
