With the stress of finals, it may be difficult to stay motivated. With the holidays just around the corner, who has time for exams and essays when there are stockings to be stuffed and carols to be sung? This is the final stretch before we can wind down and relax for the holidays with our families. So for now, stay motivated and ace those finals by looking forward to what is to come once your semester is complete.
1. The holidays
This is an obvious one. Holidays, no matter which you celebrate, are a time families come together and be merry. Of course, the delicious home-cooked meals are a major plus when you're eating food from the dining hall for the majority of the year.
2. High school friends
No matter what year you are in college, we always think back to those senior year of high school moments where we all chose our schools and cried about how we'll be so far away from each other. Of course, you stand by that promise to always hang out whenever you have breaks and are all home once again. Post-finals is the perfect time for that.
3. Your pet
This is an absolute deal breaker. You get to see your pet every single day for a whole entire month. It can't get any better than this!!
4. No homework, exam, or essay stress
No need to worry about that five-page paper you have to write or that exam you have tomorrow because you have time to just relax just for a bit. Once you get through finals, you can take a break longer than the three days we had for Thanksgiving.
5. Netflix
I mean, I do this whether I have work to do or not, but at least over winter break, I can do it without feeling any guilt. You can finally catch up on those TV shows that you've been waiting to binge without your assignments getting in the way of that.
The only downer is the fact that you will be without your college BFFs for a while. The withdrawals will be prominent, but hey, you'll be back before you know it. Enjoy the holidays and good luck on finals!
