There are some things that short girls just understand, here's a list of the things that us short girls just know:
1. Having to climb onto the countertop to get food or dishes from the top shelf.
2. Never being able to find a pair of jeans or leggings that don’t wrap around the bottom of your feet.
3. Not being able to see out of tall cars and trucks.
4. Accepting the fact that you wont be able to see anything at a 4th of July or Disneyland parade unless you’re in the very front row or on someone’s shoulders.
5. People not taking you seriously when you’re mad.
6. You don’t have very far down to go when you do squats.
7. The kids you babysit are taller than you.
8. Hugs often put you eye to eye with someone’s armpit or belly button (I’m not sure which is worse).
9. Trying to wear a maxi dress….
10. Being first in line on every picture day.
11. Talking to tall people and them not hearing you (or maybe even seeing you).
12. Not wearing heels out is not an option.
13. Driving someone else’s car and having to move the seat up all the way and adjust the mirrors by at least 5 inches.
14. Pretty much every shirt you try on can be worn as a dress.
15. Your hair looks 10x longer than on taller people.
16. Having to move when someone tall sits in front of you at the movies.
17. Still being offered the kids menu at restaurants.
18. You stopped growing in middle school or before.
19. Always being the perfect snuggling size.
20. You can fit through the doggy door or a small window if you leave your keys inside and are locked out…that’s a bonus.
21. Being way too excited if you can jump and touch the ceiling or overhang.
22. Calves for days because you have to be on your tippy-toes a million times a day.
23. Being compared to a minion.
24. You pretty much always have enough leg room.
25. Getting your clothes out of the hole in the top of the laundry machine isn’t as easy as it sounds.
26. Swinging your feet in every seat you sit in.
27. You don’t have to be from Australia to be from “down under”.
28. Being able to squeeze into a packed car.
29. Roller coaster height requirements were/are your worst nightmare.
30. The tops of your fans are always dusty.
Even though all of these things may be true being short is simply way better than being tall. All of these so called “struggles” are blessings in disguise. Being tiny does not make you any less mighty. (:
