Give your caffeine-filled blood the break it deserves, eat some delicious food, and maybe rid the bags under your eyes. It's going to be a great break.

Five Things All College Students Are Giving Thanks for This Holiday Season.

Whether you get a week off, or simply a few days, Thanksgiving Break couldn't fall at a more-perfect point in the semester. From exhausting classes to missing loved ones, it's a magical time of the year to reflect on the semester and appreciate those who surround you this holiday season. So, here are a few things all college students are grateful for this Thanksgiving.

5. Sleep

If you're anything like me, no matter how much you study before a quiz or exam, you never feel prepared enough. The week leading up to a big test, you end up sleeping four or five hours a night, if you're lucky, and the next week the cycle repeats. You NEVER get to catch up on sleep and your veins are probably pumping more caffeine than blood at this point. So, the first day home for break is spent from the comfort of bed, binge watching the shows you never get to watch and sleeping in hopes of improving the ever-present, dark bags under your eyes... and you don't feel guilty in the least.

4. Food

Food that isn't Mac. Food that was made from real ingredients and baked to perfection in an oven, not heated in a microwave. Plus, it's THANKSGIVING, the holiday that revolves around gathering with family and friends to be grateful and eat delicious food. No matter if your family is full of mini Paula Deen's or you manage to burn the salad every year, it's better than the cafeteria and for that, you are thankful.

3. Family

Let's be honest, you couldn't survive college without them. Even if you live far away, they are always there to support your dreams and listen to you cry about an exam and how tired you are and how you want to switch your major. What could be better than seeing them in person?

2. Friends

Whether it's old friends you haven't seen in awhile or all your friends at school, you are thankful they have been by your side. Who else would help you procrastinate and bring you ice-cream when you need a pick-me-up? There's no one else you'd rather have a two a.m. dance party with and no one can replace the squad that gets you through each difficult week.

1. No school work

At least for a day or two, there is no school work. Taking a break is the best thing ever, especially with finals right around the corner. It's nice to mentally relax and prepare yourself for the stressful weeks ahead. Sure you have a few tasks from professors and want to get a head start for exams, but that can wait until your food coma has worn off and your brain is functioning properly again.

No matter what you're grateful for this Thanksgiving, enjoy the time spent with people you don't get to see a lot, give your body and mind a break, and enjoy the beginning of the holiday season.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
