1. Drunk call each other without judgement

At least it’s better than drunk calling an ex

2. Accept each others flaws… because they know them all

In fact, most of the time they will share the same ones

3. Laugh at each others encounters with immature boys

-LOL He did WHAT??

4. Go to the bathroom together

Even if you don’t have to, you go with them so that you can keep talking

5. Tell each other things in excruciating details

-99.9% of these are too inappropriate for the general public but totally acceptable for each other

6. Don’t think twice about each others bad decisions but instead joins them

-Yeah, it’s a great idea to take that extra shot of patron even though you have a class at 8 am

7. Stop them from saying their drunk thoughts

-This often requires physical exertion to get them to shut up but they will thank you the next day… also, you may find yourself having to say “that’s not something your Uber driver needs to know”

8. Pig out on food that you can only eat with each other

-Having Buffalo Wild Wings two days in a row is something you can share with each other without feeling guilty

9. Turning bad situations into positive ones

-Lending a hand during a time of a failed exam or a breakup can mean that you go through it together and build each other up

10. Starting fights and then realizing it’s impossible to live without each other for more than a day

-They're your better half and you know you can't find anyone to replace them

11. Have a backup plan to move to an Island and sell surfboards in case school doesn’t pan out the way its expected to

-Oftentimes, this is a desired plan A

12. Bring out each others mean girl side

-Sharing the thoughts that you feel make you a crazy person are normalized by your best friend

13. Send each other screenshots of text messages and agreeing with their opinion on them

-Sending your best friend what you really want to say is almost better because they can laugh along with you

14. Fight each others enemies

-You’re more defensive of them than you are of yourself

15. Take a thousand photos of them in the same pose but from a different angle

-You have to get their "good side"

16. Make each other laugh and escape the stressful reality for a little while

-Overall, without them, you would be nowhere

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
