12 Things I Want To Do Before Turning 26

I want to travel to Paris again and admire more than just the pigeons that my 5 year old self was infatuated by the first time.

I'm one of those people who firmly believes that you should live your life to the fullest while you can. I'm also one of those people who says things like that and yet, I spent all of this week eating junk food and binge watching "The Flash" on Netflix. This is honestly how I plan to spend my last month as a teenager, but once I turn 20, I'm going to set out to do these 16 things before I turn 26.

1. Ride a bike around Amsterdam

I would most definitely need to work out a bit before doing so seeing as I get winded from a flight of stairs.

2. Go camping with friends

3. Be Sandy from "Grease" for Halloween

Of course, I'd want a Danny Zuko to tag along.

4. Visit Barcelona

If you think I'm not going to sing "Strut" by The Cheetah Girls while I'm there and then proceed to sing "Barcelona" by Ed Sheeran you are mistaken.

5. Learn how to make "Coffee Art"

Deliciously beautiful.

6. Go to Paris with someone I love

Which let's be real, will most likely just be my best friend or my dog.

7. Learn how to surf

I'm talking real surfing--not just boogie boarding back to shore on a one-foot wave.

8. Sing on a Broadway stage

Now, this is one that is going to be a bit more difficult to accomplish.

9. Live in another country for 6 months

London is at the top of that list at the moment.

10. Attend a Masquerade Ball

I'm not sure if it's the multiple movies I saw as a child where people fell in love at Masquerade balls or the "mystery" of who's behind the mask--even though a mask that simply covers a minimal portion of your face can't do much at hiding your identity.

11. Spend NYE in NYC

The thought of ringing in the New Year with a million individuals and hundreds of pounds of confetti falling around you brings me great anxiety and great joy at the same time.

12. Be on a T.V show

This is the one on the list that is mostly wishful thinking. It's always been something I wanted to do--so much so that when I was young, I'd call talent agents trying to set up appointments. They catch on pretty fast when it's a 12 year old pretending to be a mother. Side note: If I got to choose, I would 100% want to be filming at Warner Brothers Studio.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
