Fall is basically every girl’s favorite season. It’s the time of year where basic girls reach their peak and are doing 9/10 things just for the Insta — which is totally OK. Get your PSL, iPhone and booties ready and embrace your inner basic-ness to cross a few (or all) of these things off your fall bucket list.

1. Buy anything (and everything) pumpkin spice.

From candles to Cheerios to Jell-O to cookies to coffee to literally anything you can think of — if it’s not pumpkin spice, you’re not having it.

2. Take pictures of every pretty tree/leaf you see.

What’s the point of the leaves changing colors if you can’t Snap a pic or share them with your Instagram followers?

3. Fill most of your fall closet with of oversized sweaters and flannels.

So, maybe your summer bikini body wasn’t ready… but your fall oversized clothes body sure is!

4. Use the word “fall” as a pun in every. single. Insta. caption.

Because your followers actually didn’t know it was fall until you made it clear in your latest basic girl caption.

5. Take a picture at an apple orchard or pumpkin patch.

500 pictures later, you may have an Insta-worthy fall post.

6. Choose the perfect fall hair color.

You've reached your peak of basic when you change hair colors depending on the season.

7. Coordinate Halloween costumes with your basic girl squad.

More likely than not, at least half of your squad will be cats, Victoria’s Secret angels or Starbucks Frappuccinos — just a few of your favorite things!

8. Ask every few days, “Is it too early to start playing Christmas music?”

Fall means Halloween. Halloween means almost November. November means Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving basically means Christmas. Therefore, it’s the perfect time to start playing holiday music!

9. Throw a pile of leaves in the air for Instagram.

Level of basicness: 10/10.

10. Complain about how cold it is while wearing close to nothing.

It’s cold outside but you’re still wearing a tiny skirt and tank because a basic girl never gets cold.

11. Make fall-inspired treats.

One of the best things about fall is all the pumpkin and apple pies!

12. Compulsively purchase every cute pair of boots you see because it’s fall and you can never have too many.

If you don’t Instagram your new boots over freshly fallen leaves, is it even fall?

13. Scroll through Pinterest for outfit inspiration.

If I had a dollar for every time I typed in something along the lines of “cute fall outfits,” I’d be a millionaire. But hey, at least my outfits always fit the ~aesthetic~ of the season.

14. Turn a Friday night into a pumpkin carving party.

You obviously have to turn the pumpkin carving into an entire night of basicness with some hot apple cider, pumpkin spiced face masks and the perfect Halloween-themed chick flick.

15. Order drinks at the coffee shop in the real mugs, just to get a cute latte picture.

If the barista doesn’t make the foam pretty, you’re asking for a refund.

16. Throw a Friendsgiving.

And overuse the hashtag #thankful.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
