As many of you know that going Greek is a life changing experience. It's so much fun and some people don't really understand why you went Greek. Even though there are 25 other sororities, we all manage to come together in many ways. But we also know the daily struggle of our own sorority or dumb questions we get along the way. These are some of my "I know I'm a Theta Phi when..."
1. People ask if you're a Theta.
No, sorry I'm not. Theta's and Theta Phi's are two totally separate groups of girls. So, in other words, Kappa Alpha Theta and Theta Phi Alpha are nowhere near the same sorority. But thanks for trying, you were close.
2. And your new member class thinks we are Theta's.
No ma'am, you are not a Theta. Theta Phi yes, Theta no. But we love everyone equally!
3. When you get flowers you want them to be white roses.
So very true! Since the day I became an initiated sister, all I want is white roses everywhere! They symbolize so much to us! I mean "white rose for its purity," they are truly pure in all ways of their lifespan.
4. You shamelessly know all of your recruitment songs.
I promise you, our recruitment songs are so catchy you'll remember them. You'll even be able to tell them apart from other the sorority recruitment songs during rush week. At least, those were my thoughts. Shout out to my chapter, Beta Epsilon, for this adorbs board for recruitment week!
5. Anything and almost everything has a compass plastered on it.
Compass here, a compass there, compasses everywhere! Honestly, they're everywhere. On our jewelry, shirts, and bodies, yes, bodies. It'll become an obsession you'll have that you've never had before.
6. Pearls and sapphires are your new bestie.
What are diamonds? They're not a girls best friend! Pearls and sapphires will put shame to your diamonds. (Actually, I'm still in love with diamonds.)
7. You know who Mari Ann Callais is.
You worship this woman because she is such a huge part of Theta Phi life. She is such a blessing and just an over all amazing woman! You want to embody her in every single way!
