The pain of getting your wisdom teeth out is something almost every teenager dreads but has to go through. About two weeks ago, I got mine removed and it was the most painful experience of my life. I mean, honestly, you never realize how sensitive your mouth is until someone rips out four of your teeth. Once you're hopped up on pain killers it seems all sunshine and rainbows and it doesn't even phase you that you're most likely not going to be able to eat normal food for about a week. Here is the process you go through once you get your wisdom teeth out told to you through some hilarious gifs:

If you're like me, and you've never been put under anesthesia before, you're a nervous wreck waiting in the waiting room for your appointment.

Once your name is called, you walk down the hallway where the dental assistant will plug you all up to the different machines that monitor your heart while you're under anesthesia. You watch them hook you up to these different machines which allow you to hear your heart pounding out of your chest which only makes you feel more stressed out.

The dentist comes into the room and smiles and talks to you asking where you go to school and anything that comes to their mind to calm you down while you're just thinking "let's just get this over with," (this is almost worse than when they try to talk to you with their hands in your mouth). They then will tell you to either count backwards from 100 or count to three and just like that you're out.

Before you know it, you wake up and you're taken to the recovery room where you honestly don't even know what just happened. All you can feel is your chipmunk cheeks and cotton gauze in your mouth. You will try to talk but most likely nothing you say will either make sense or be relevant to the current situation.

You're taken home where the only options of food you have to eat is anything that can go down your throat without chewing. Which sounds good at first because that means you can eat mashed potatoes, ice cream, mac and cheese, pudding, or soup. But believe me after awhile, you will long to eat something that crunches and you will be hungry 24/7 and these mushy foods will no longer satisfy your hunger.

After a few hours of being home, the aftermath of the anesthesia wears off and the numbing goes away. At this time you realize that you are in excruciating pain and you basically feel like you're going to die.

But then your mom gives you those amazing pain killers the dentist has provided you, which makes you feel extremely happy and helps you completely forget that you even got teeth ripped out of your mouth only a few hours ago.

But after a week, your pain should slowly go away, the struggle of having to eat only soft foods will diminish and you will finally be able to chew normal food. Nothing will make you happier than the feeling of having something crunch in your mouth again.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
