Christmas: The most wonderful time of year indeed! The magic of Christmas takes on a different meaning for everyone. For me, the magic of Christmas lies in my grandparents traveling every year since I can remember from Texas to North Carolina to spend Christmas with us. Unless my brother or I am graduating from something, this is the only time of the year that I get to see them and man is it a special time. There's something so magical in knowing with all my heart that there are people who love me so much they're willing to travel for three days just to spend time with me. What more could I ask for? No matter what you find magical about the Christmas season, I think we can all agree that the magic lies far beyond material things, in fact, you can find it in many feelings.
The magic lies on the face of a child as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of Santa on Christmas Eve, so excited that they can't sleep.
You can spot it in the eyes of someone from across the store as their eyes light up and land on the perfect present for someone they adore.
It can be found under some mistletoe,
Or a soft smile on a face in the Christmas lights glow.
It's gathering up gifts and giving galore,
That gives you the feeling that there's something more.
Something more to this season than money and toys,
It's really all about life's little joys.
Like spending time with the people you love,
And knowing that you have an amazing savior watching over you from above.
And being grateful and giddy over all life has to give,
And this sweet, sweet life we all get to live.
The magic of Christmas is made in memories,
Of stringing up lights and putting up Christmas trees.
Drinking hot cocoa with your favorite friend,
And saying cheers to the year that's about to end.
It's cozy conversations and sweater weather,
And bringing everyone together.
For the sweetest season of them all,
A time for growing hearts, no matter how small.
May your Christmas be magical!
