Why Humans Do Not Deserve To Be On This Earth

We're the world's worst species, and we're destroying our home.

Sadly, there is one species in this world that is the worst that exists. It is destroying everything that crosses its path including its own kind and resources that it needs to live. It is destroying not only its own environment, but also other creature’s environment due to selfish reasons like money and greed. It is taking animals away from their home and locking them up in a place with limited space for other peoples' amusement.

If you do not know by now, the creatures that I am talking about are humans. There is nothing more ruthless and cold than we are. We have no regard whatsoever for our lives and any other type of life that is out here in the world. We take what we want, when we want it. If anyone dares to fight for what is rightfully theirs, we kill him or her. We invade their land without giving a single damn about any of the immense number of causalities our ambitions may cause. Sometimes, we go to these countries that have resources that we may not have and do whatever it takes to get it even if it means losing lives on both sides of the team.

We are also destroying habitats of a large number of animals that cannot defend themselves from big machinery knocking their homes down. Every day there is a forest or wooded area being torn down, causing animals to flee away from their homes. Thus, leading them to find homes in your local neighborhood then getting shot for some unforgivable error a human has made. All of this for just a number of condos and a trillionth neighborhood that was not even necessary to have in the first place. Sometimes, we capture these animals and take them away from their babies who need them just to lock them away in zoos so people can make funny faces at them. Sometimes, after we find these animals useless, we take them out of the zoo and put them back into Mother Nature’s hands without the skills to survive the harsh conditions of the world. Which are skills they once had but were stripped away from them while in captivity.

A few days ago, a gorilla was murdered because of a careless mother not watching her child. I honestly cannot believe a parent can be so careless. Back when I would go to the zoo with my brothers, my mom always made sure that I was close by. She would never take her eyes off me, no matter what. Whenever I was quiet my mom would always check up on me when I was younger. She knew that would mean I was up to no good. All because of a careless mother not watching her child this gorilla (who was taken from his home) was shot. This has happened too many times; I believe there should be a law created so these careless parents can pay more attention to their kids. If people cannot learn the easy way then I guess they will have to learn the hard way.

We are also destroying one of the most precious things God has created. Something that, if it did not exist, we would probably die out. I am talking about the ocean. Humans are constantly littering the ocean without thinking about the ocean or the life that is under that water. There are constant oil spills and all types of trash thrown in the ocean and destroying and killing the ocean life. Are we honestly trying to bring this planet to the point of no return? Sadly, humans like to learn the hard way. Humans like to realize things when it is too late. Frankly, that is sad, no one is thinking of future generations that probably want to see the ocean without a bunch of trash floating by or oil spills taking it over.

Humans take, kidnap, and destroy. We are destroying ourselves out here. What is the point of defending our country? We are killing ourselves out here. Everything on Earth has a purpose of being here, but we do not understand that and that sickens me. Not only are we destroying where animals live, kidnapping them, and killing them, but we also do these things to ourselves. We have no respect for anything. We have no respect for each other. Animals in the wild have more respect for themselves and the earth than we do. They are not destroying everything, we are. We do not deserve to be on this earth.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
