“A grandmother is a little bit parent, a little bit teacher, and a little bit best friend.”
I wanted to write this to you to let you know just how much I truly appreciate every little thing you’ve done for me.
From day one you’ve been my best friend and my number one supporter. I used to live for the days that I got to come over to your house to cook with you, or just spend quality time with my absolute favorite person.
You’ve always gone above and beyond your call of duty to make sure I had everything I needed. Whether it be taking me to get winter clothes or giving me money for the fair, you’ve always made sure I had everything I needed, and most of the things I wanted. You’ve always been there, giving me every ounce of support I’ve ever needed, and for that, I will forever be grateful.
Two years ago our lives both changed and I have had the absolute honor to be able to live with you. You didn’t have to let me come in and completely take over your life, but as always, you welcomed me with the biggest arms possible.
I want to thank you for raising me to be the lady I am today. Thank you for teaching me which silverware goes on which side and how important it is to keep my grades up. Thank you for teaching me that boys are stupid and that being the prettiest and skinniest girl doesn’t matter. Thank you for giving up things you’ve needed to make sure I’ve had everything I ever wanted.
But most of all, thank you for loving me with your whole heart. I couldn’t imagine my life without you. You raised me, you fed me, you taught me and you love me and those are things I will never be able to repay you for.
Thank you for giving me your all. I hope I make you proud. I love you.
