The Weeks Before Finals As Told By Disney

You are never too old for Disney, but you are never ready enough for finals.

The Weeks Before Finals As Told By Disney

The weeks before finals get everybody down. We are either too tired, facing caffeine withdrawal or stressed out to the point of giving up. We cry, we suffer and we can't wait for it to end. Disney, as always, is the source for many binge-watching, and in some cases, music therapy to get through those two to three weeks before and during finals. Here are some gifs that accurately describe what these weeks are like, as told by Disney:

1. When you want to quit...

Somewhere toward the end of the semester, especially the fall one, many students consider dropping out because of the stress. We feel the same as Rapunzel until we realize...

2. ...and when you do go back.

... we have spent far too much time on our degrees already. Every single second has gotten us here. Why stop now?

3. When you finally find time to eat in between study sessions...

Much like Lucifer in this scene from Cinderella, we are all a little crazy after study sessions.

4. Thinking you're going to fail BUT passing your tests!

Whether your dragon is test anxiety or a professor that resembles Hitler, we've all struggled through a test and found out that we somehow passed it.

5. Going into the library for the first time to study...

Believe it or not, many students don't use the library during the year, so they are usually pretty amazed upon seeing it for the first time.

6. Making sure our friends are up on time for their finals and study sessions...

Who hasn't been asked to call someone to wake them up?

7. Realizing no regular activities will be easy...

While studying for finals, Mike couldn't even keep his regular activities from being difficult; I feel that on a personal level.

8. Getting last minute papers, essays, and homework assignments.

Professors don't seem to understand that we want to study, not write seven papers...

9. Finding ways to stay alert and awake.

Lucille had it right when it came to staying awake; caffeine. She used patches, but many students use coffee. Stay awake everyone!

10. Realizing you have to go to class...

11. When your professor says good luck

Though they mean well most of the time, professors offering their luck to us before a final is like sending a lamb to slaughter.

12. Leaving your last final like...

Sometimes, by the end, we all reach the point of exhaustion where nothing matters other than leaving and heading back home for a long, long nap.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

19 Lessons I'll Never Forget from Growing Up In a Small Town

There have been many lessons learned.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
