We all have our favorite genres of music that we love to listen to. Whether that's country, hip hop, pop or R&B, we all have a passion for music. Music is the universal language of the world, and for decades, women have been using it as a powerful communication tool to spread female empowerment, confidence, and overall just body positivity and loving yourself.

When you ladies get discouraged, turn these jams up, and show the world the undeniable power that can come from a woman!

1. "I'm Every Woman" by Chaka Khan

A timeless classic that every girl sings in the shower once in their lifetime. Am I right?

2. "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor

Everyone tries to hit the high notes in this song but ends up failing terribly. A song that is truly timeless in every sense of the word.

3. " A Woman's Worth" by Alicia Keys

Our girl, Alicia, preaching about how real men can't deny a woman's worth.

4. "Girl On Fire" by Alicia Keys

Our girl, Alicia, back at it again with another female empowerment bop!

5. "Respect" by Aretha Franklin

This song all taught us how to spell, as well as tell everyone what we deserve-- "R-E-S-P-E-C-T."

6. "Run The World (Girls)" by Beyonce

I think everyone remembers this song. "Who run the world?" well, girls of course.

7. "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera

Christina tells us "we're beautiful, no matter what they say!"

8. "You Don't Own Me" Original by Lesley Gore, Remake by Grace

"You Don't Own Me," the classic song by Lesley Gore, that was released in 1963, was truly a one of a kind feminist song. Although the original may not be your style, there was a recent remake of the classic by Grace, and trust me, she does the song so much justice with G-Eazy.

9. "F**ckin' Perfect" by P!NK

I can still remember my tween self dancing to this song uncontrollably.

10. "Fly" by Nicki Minaj feat. Rihanna

"I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive, I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise, TO FLY!" *falls off bed*

11. "Reflection" by Fifth Harmony

"Ooh, where you from, must be heaven, you'd be rich if looking good was your profession
Think I'm in love, 'cause you so sexy, boy, I ain't talkin' bout you, I'm talking to my own reflection." *winks and flips hair dramatically.*

12. "Confident" by Demi Lovato

When I listen to this song, I imagine myself riding into the sunset on a motorcycle while wearing some good looking boots.

13. "Love Myself" by Hailee Steinfeld

This song really emphasizes the importance of loving yourself. It is also very catchy.

14. "***FLAWLESS" by Beyonce

I'm finishing my list off with Beyonce, because well...BEYONCE. I woke up like this, FLAWLESS.

Of course, there are many other feminist songs that are not on this list, but I feel like I captured the essence of feminism through music pretty well. If you haven't heard of some of these songs, try looking them up, and listen to them. Hopefully, you get some Spotify playlist inspiration!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
