Whether you've never seen them before or you're revisiting old favorites, grab some popcorn and your friends, and let the movie marathon begin!
1. "Eat, Pray, Love"
Based on the novel by Elizabeth Gilbert (which I also highly recommend), this story follows one woman's journey across the world in pursuit of happiness and peace within herself. Liz travels to Italy to experience pleasure (aka tons of delicious food), India to connect with God, and Bali to find love (both for herself and others). The inner adventurer and foodie in me desperately wanted to buy a plane ticket immediately after reading the book and watching the movie. Stars: Julia Roberts
2. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"
Also based on an excellent book (this one by Stephen Chbosky), this coming-of-age film focuses on the experiences of quirky and introverted Charlie during his high school years. It discusses themes such as friendship, love, sexuality, and mental illness from an interesting teenage perspective. This relatable and inspiring story is for anyone who has ever felt lonely or like they don't quite fit in. Stars: Logan Lerman and Emma Watson
3. "Love, Rosie"
This heartwarming British film follows two best friends, Alex and Rosie, throughout their young adult lives, with many unexpected twists and turns. It focuses on the important values of friendship, unconditional love, and following your dreams. This hilarious and sweet movie will make you laugh, smile, and cry. (Hint: bring out the tissues) Stars: Lily Collins and Sam Claflin
4. "The Devil Wears Prada"
Filled with many great lines, this comical movie explores the sometimes harsh and depreciating world of working in fashion. The irony of a sensible, klutzy, and unfashionable girl landing a job working for a Vogue-like magazine makes for a hilarious story. Stars: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci
5. "Love, Actually"
This British romantic comedy, directed by the brilliant Richard Curtis ("Bridget Jones' Diary," "Notting Hill," "Four Weddings and a Funeral") will surely warm your heart and make you laugh. Set around Christmas time, this movie intertwines the various stories of many characters that all have some connection to each other. It will make you believe that "love actually is all around." Stars: Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, Hugh Grant, Thomas Sangster, and Alan Rickman (aka Severus Snape)
6. "The Notebook"
Of course, I had to include this classic chick flick. Yes, it will most likely raise your expectations for love to an exceedingly high level, but when you can live vicariously through Noah and Allie's relationship, why not? That iconic kiss in the rain, though... Stars: Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams
7. "13 Going on 30"
A classic movie about growing up, this romantic comedy has a twist of fantasy. Along with a killer soundtrack, this 80s-themed film is sure to make to laugh. After watching it, you'll end up appreciating the present moment of being young instead of dreaming of growing older because, in reality, being an adult is hard. Stars: Jennifer Garner, Judy Greer, and Mark Ruffalo
8. "The Parent Trap"
An old favorite of many people, this heartwarming movie is one you'll definitely want to watch over and over. If you've been living under a rock and haven't seen it, it's a sweet story about an odd coincidence and some hilarious antics, focusing on the power of love and family. This classic romantic comedy was Lindsay Lohan's breakout role (or roles, since she plays both of the lead parts). Stars: Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, and Natasha Richardson
9. "Clueless"
Cher Horowitz is probably the biggest 90s fashion icon, and for a good reason. Her unique and trendy outfits take center stage in this movie and perfectly express her individuality. Although seemingly ditzy, she is actually a tough and clever girl. A good-natured, yet spoiled and superficial high school student, Cher uses her skills of appearance to make a new student popular, like herself. Along the way, she deals with confusing teenage issues involving school and love. Stars: Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Brittany Murphy, and Stacey Dash
10. "Bridesmaids"
This is one of the greatest comedies of all time (in my humble opinion). With an incredible cast of females, this movie is extremely hilarious, and I guarantee you will laugh until your stomach hurts. You might even find yourself quoting it regularly because the lines are too good. Stars: Kristen Wiig (who also co-wrote the movie), Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, and Ellie Kemper
11. "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants"
This movie, the first in a series based on books, focuses on the powerful value of friendship. An especially relatable story for college freshmen, these four best friends go their separate ways during the summer for the first time. Despite each girl being very different, the friends all love and support each other and prove that true friendship can stand the test of time and distance. This movie was an iconic one for girls everywhere in the early 2000s. Every friend group argued over who was which girl (I was Lena), and every girl probably wanted to hop on a plane to Greece immediately (at least I know I did). Stars: Blake Lively, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn
12. "Pitch Perfect"
A hilarious story about a college female acappella group full of misfits, this movie will make you laugh and have you quoting its lines regularly. Filled with romance, humor, and some great music, this is one you'll want to laugh and sing along to with your best girlfriends. Stars: Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Anna Camp, and Skylar Astin
13. "Mean Girls"
This is the ultimate high school-themed comedy; it includes a stellar cast, hilarious quotes, and a great underlying message. The iconic film was written by the comedy queen herself, Tina Fey, and it's one you can re-watch a thousand times and still laugh just as hard. Stars: Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey
14. "When Harry Met Sally"
Can men and women ever really just be friends without any romantic interest? This classic movie explores that million dollar question with humor. Although released many years before our generation was even born, this hugely successful film is still relatable to both men and women today, focusing on the elusiveness of romance. Stars: Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan
15. "Easy A"
Inspired by the classic novel, "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, this teen comedy focuses on the horrors of the high school rumor mill, and revolves around the topic of sexuality (which, FYI, is nobody's business). This movie proves the importance of not caring what other people think of you, despite living in a world where everyone is concerned about reputations. Stars: Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Cam Gigandet, and Aly Michalka
