With summer vacations are well underway, weekend travels, or getaways before the school year begins, there is bound to be some travel as a part of your trip. Whether it's flying, driving, road-tripping, biking, swimming, boating, etc., there is a definite possibility that you need a new playlist of music to listen to while on the road/water/in the air. Don't worry, I got you covered.

As follows, a laundry list...well, not so much a list, more of a jumble of thoughts...that will give you an ultimate jam out for your next upcoming vacation, whatever it may be.

Starting off with the 'beachy' vacation...

You're on a flight to a tropical destination. You need some relaxing music before you get there to get you in the palm-tree-pina-colada-and-beaches mood. First song up is Oceans by Coasts, a summer tune that you really can't get enough of after one play. This song has been one of my favorites for years and still is.

What comes next on shuffle mode?

Heartbreaker by The Walkmen. A bit of a different tone, but enough to get your mind racing with thoughts. This one will keep you up and groovin' in your airplane seat. Along with Million Dollar Bills by Lorde. Wow, what a woman, and what a song. Following these, Worry by Little Comets, except you won't be worrying once this vacation, amirite! Next up, Pressure by Youngblood Hawks, and then Tapioca by New Navy.

At this point, you're singing out loud, and the guy in the window seat next to you is silently wishing you would have just watched a quiet movie and leave him be. Not this time buddy! You're too busy listening to Let's Dance by David Bowie, Deadroses by Blackbear, I Know A Place by MUNA, It's Only (feat. Zyra) by ODESZA, and finally, No Control by One Direction, to top it all off. After about a half hour, you should be dozing off with Ghost Stories (entire album) by Coldplay lowly playing in the background. Enjoy sweet dreams of sunbathing before you reach your destination!!

If not the beach, you're going on a sight-seeing vacation...

This mini-list is actually helping me out as well, considering in less than two weeks I will be on my way to Portugal before going back to school! These jams are a bunch that I'm picking out of my favorites to get me in the mood of days filled with sight-seeing.

Starting it off, obviously, with Portugal by Walk The Moon. (I love this song more than life.) Up next, Drive All Night by NEEDTOBREATHE, which is a heavy guitar song that puts me in the best mood every time I listen to it. Wild Ride by Jimkata, a cool, trippy song that makes you imagine yourself in a cartoon-fictional world.

At least I feel that way. A classic, Roxanne by The Police, to put you in a nice head space. Running On Empty by Jackson Browne, Heat Of The Moment by Asia, Back Down South by Kings of Leon, Starlight by Matt Cardle, and Lost! by Coldplay are all hits that should make their way on shuffle at some point. It's the feel-good music that makes you forget about the nasty jet-lag you may have and the quality leg room you were missing out on for a few hours.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
