Here at TAMU, it's almost a sin if you aren't a redass - by almost, I mean that it is a sin and I, well I sin daily. that's right, I am the two percent of Texas A&M University and I'm okay with that.
For example, the first game against UCLA was two weekends ago & I chose to sit on a horse and watch my boyfriend rope instead of attending. Last season, I missed the first game to be at a livestock show; I'm so beyond content with both choices, too. That's just to give you an insight as to how much I care about things like football games...
I don't whoop every time I hear someone mention Texas A&M, I don't yell howdy across rooms, and I certainly don't feel the need to argue why my university is the best with people who don't agree with me.
I didn't choose to attend Texas A&M because of the football games or because I think saying howdy is cool. I chose A&M because it's for one, an agricultural based school and also, a military school. The tradition here is so rich and the basis in which it was founded on is enough for me; to be honest, the traditions that began at the very beginning are the important ones.
I'm partial to TAMU- I love this place and I'm blessed to have the opportunity to attend such an amazing university. There is no other place I would rather finish my undergrad and maybe more at. I don't need to yell at the top of my lungs to take in the true spirit of aggieland and all that she brings to us daily.
No matter if you're the most Redass Ag to enter the town, the two percenter from hell, choose to tell gig em, or embrace the spirit silently - we are all one and that's the truth that A&M brings to light.
Just because I'm not a redass, doesn't mean I don't love every inch of this campus, what she was built on, and what she stands for.
Thanks and Gig Em.
