The Twelve Stages Of Sing Song
The Optimist

The SING SONG mania is beginning to spread across the ACU campus. Around the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., you'll hear musical notes being played on a keyboard and the harmonies from little clubs of women and men.

Whether you're a part of an act or simply a bystander, here are the twelve stages of Sing Song. Get ready.. for war.

1. OMG! It's SING SONG season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are so many emotions that swarm your brain when you hear the words "SING SONG" on campus. All of sudden, you feel excited, anxious, confident, alone, needy and competitive at the same time.

2. ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS ARE DOING IT TOOOOO!!!

Not only are you doing it with your best friend, but also with the other 99 people that you dearly love! Hooray!!

3. GOING TO THE FIRST PRACTICE!!!

OMG! It's like a giant party filled with people who love to sing and dance. YAYAYAYA!!

4. THE MUSIC

When the music is based off your favorite tune, you know it's gonna be a good show.

5. REALIZING YOU CAN'T SING FOR SQUAT

Yeah. Hit that note, hun.

6. When your section is off beat.

If someone messes up one more time, I'm gonna lose it.

7. Costume and work days are a necessary pain

It's the weekend. Leave me alooonnnneeee

8. Choreography is always the hardest day

It's true. Not everyone can dance.

9. I just want to quit.

I've had with everyone's issues. I quit.

10. Moody Week

Watch your back. During Moody week, everyone is on your hit list.

11. Telling yourself it's gonna be fine

It's only a competition. It's only a competition. It's only a competition.

12. Performing!!! HELL YA!!!

Happy Sing Sang!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
