The Truth About The Fear Of Rejection

The truth about the fear of rejection. There is this fear of rejection that everyone has when looking for a relationship. This fear is only there in our minds due to the fact that you have been rejected before when looking for a relationship or just someone to go to a dance with or it could be because the last real relationship you were in ended on a slightly different note then what you thought it would and that it has taken you months to find the will to find someone new. The fact is I have delt with this fear for a while now.

Only being in high school, my mom has told me that it is not that important to have a relationship at this point in time and that I should wait to be in one. Well, the fact that even college students have this fear is hard to explain, only due to the fact that if you're single, you see couples that look happy and healthy together and you perceive it as that you need someone by your side, to love you like you family does, and to find someone who won't give up on you. Then there is the fact that you hear so many things about being in a relationship at young age. Which than that stems from the age old tale of people finding their forever love in high school or college or the fact that you see it as a social need to be with someone.

The truth about this whole fear of rejection in teens and college students is only in our minds and the belief that it is there to protect us from harm and the pain that will come if you don't end up with that certain someone. With that said, though, you have to make sure that you can overcome that fear because you'll never know if the person that you believe will reject you will truly be the person you've been waiting for. So to this fear of rejection that may control you, remember that you can't be afraid to take a risk, after all your life is full of taking risks and there will be plenty of opportunities to find out who your one and only is.

So, as a word of advice, if you have something to ask that certain someone, get over the constant doubt you put on yourself that makes that fear of rejection become more than just something you hold within your mind, before it becomes a reality. Funny thing is, love is something truly extraordinary that comes in many different ways and walks of life. My love currently, is for writing these articles, for my late and great Dad, for my family, and for someone that though i have this fear of rejection I plan to ask. Yet that fear of rejection still holds me back to this day, not being able to tell people how I truly feel about them. Though the only reason I have said that I have dealt with this fear before is because though I may suffer from it from time to time I can express it through writing. Writing is my outlet and so for you to truly make sure that the fear of rejection does not haunt you forever, find your outlet that you can express yourself and your thoughts and feelings through. So truly the fear of rejection is only a figment of your mind that if you let continue will only lessen your chance with that special someone. So, tell me your thoughts, do you believe you can overcome the fear of rejection?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
