Falling in love with someone is an amazing thing. It is what the majority of us spend our lives searching for—that one person who completes you, the one person who makes you whole. But what happens when you meet the person who you have been waiting for your entire life and they don’t love you back?

You will settle for sitting on the sidelines cheering them on in all of their life’s endeavors. You will smile through the pain until you are blue in the face, and you will allow the emptiness you feel to push you to the point that you almost break.

Slowly and surely your love will release its firm grip on your heart, allowing it to beat again and propel you forward. Slowly the pieces of your heart will fall back together, but you know they will never be the same. But perhaps the biggest problem with falling in love with someone who will never love you back is that you would do it all over again because every single second you spent with them was worth every single ounce of pain.
