It's that time of year again when all of us girls go out searching for the best costumes we can find for Halloween, whether they are funny, creative, or, my personal favorite, just plain basic. As all of us have learned from "Mean Girls," Halloween is the one night where girls apparently don't get judged for wearing the most revealing "clothing," if that's what you want to call it.
I will be taking you through the top five most basic b!tch Halloween costumes you can find.
1. Sexy cop
For some reason, this costume is a huge hit for teenage girls, because apparently nothing is sexier than a girl dressed up as a cop. We go from hating cops because they shut down our Halloween parties, to pretending to be them in the most skin-tight black jumpsuits we can find, complete with handcuffs, black aviators, and of course the hat. This is probably one of the most popular basic b!tch costumes out there. I think the pros do it better though...
2. Risky business
This one's super fun 'n' flirty, because all you wear is a big men's white dress shirt, of course borrowed from your crush and worn with the first three buttons undone (omg how scandalous), some white socks, and sunglasses. If you do this costume, though, you better have seen the movie...
3. A mouse
This one of course is a classic basic b!tch costume, as it is featured in "Mean Girls." The most common outfit for this costume is a basic black leotard or some type of black lingerie and, yup, you guessed it, mouse ears! People should be able to guess what you are...
4. Miley Cyrus
This is one of the more recent basic b!tch costumes, all thanks to her memorable VMA performance in 2013 with Robin Thicke and that classy foam finger. Just find a matching nude crop top and spandex shorts. Oh, and of course the outfit just won't be complete without the foam finger and legendary buns.
And last but certainly not least...
5. A cat
For this costume, all you have to do is wear black, find some cat ears, and draw on some whiskers and you're good to go. It literally is as basic as it gets. Go to any high school Halloween party, and I guarantee you that you'll find at least eight cats. I'd love to see some statistics on how many basic b!tches go trick or treating as cats. Personally, I'm more a fan of a good grumpy cat costume.
To all the other basic b!tches out there reading this, I hope you have done your duty and dressed up as one of these costumes at least once in your life (I'll be honest, I have). If not, maybe this is your year. If you do, just remember...
...but that's perfectly OK.
